[Presidents Office] War front and Australian Relations

Day 2,314, 18:33 Published in Norway Norway by Jasper Zuidema

Fellow Norwegian's and Readers,

Another article from your president, this term has been moving along quite quickly and has been very busy. Already the congress elections are upon us and I ask anyone that is wanting to run for congress to do so from a safe region so that you will not be dropped from the list. CP elections are also drawing closer, some have been asking if I would be interested in running a third term but I would have to respectfully decline. Being CP is defiantly no walk in the park and takes a lot of time and dedication, I will become busier as the spring and summer months approach, instead I will be glad to help find a new candidate for next term. Now onto some other topics, Asgard's war with UK/Germark and our relations with Australia.

1) After the Republic of Moldova was removed as a threat from the UK, they turned there attention towards Finland, they thought Finland would be an easy push over via RW's but it turned out very different. UK was not able to defeat Finland so they instead decided to use an NE proposal and use the MPP's to attack Finland, so far they have succeeded in pushing Finland out of Northern Ireland and Scotland back to Vestlandet.

2) UK advanced into Vestlandet and attacked Trondelag, so far Finland has been able to turn the tide in Trondelag and looks to advance back to the UK's cores. The UK started to become worried and decided that they would block Finland's counter attack by starting a Norwegian resistance war in Vestlandet, this way they could also cancel out there NE on Finland.

1) With multiple resistance wars by Denmark and Norway opening an attack on Germany in Syddanmark they where not able to prioritize which battles they wanted to fight. Sweden started to gain momentum in the ping pong war and took back its home regions.

2) Norway was able to conquer Syddanmark and attack Germany in Schleswig - Holstein and Hamburg while Denmark had gained back Nordjylland and Midtjylland. Sweden having recently taken back Scania launched a counter attack into German main cores.

3) Norway was pushed back out of Schleswig - Holstein, Denmark RW'ed Syddanmark and gained it back easily ending any further Norwegian attacks on Germany. At the same time as congress elections draw closer, Denmark proposed an NE on Germany to be wiped, another war front for Germany to keep busy with.

4) Sweden has now gained two core German regions, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Saxony Anhalt. Germany had attacked Sjaelland, Norway proposed an NE on Denmark to capture Nordjylland, the attack is now in progress. Germany attacked Midtylland and hoped to block Norway off before our NE proposal could be accepted but failed to do so.

5) Finland will probably be able to advance down into Vestlandet again and secure a strong border with the UK, might also advance further into its main cores. Meanwhile Sweden and Norway will continue to harass Germark.

Perhaps this sight would look familiar to some of us. Last month Norway had come under a malicious attack by FYROM, who claimed to be our friends. There had been an AS proposed on us which eventually lead to all of Asgard involved in a war against FYROM who were desperate to have congress. Thankfully we were able to expel them from Scandinavia. This term they have decided to nestle in Australia and set up fort there. As you can see from the map, they have taken Tasmania, Northern and Southern Australia. Indonesia also decided to join the party by taking Western Australia. This has left Australia with absolutely no regions.

Up to this point, Norway - Australian relations have been basically non existent, well as far as I know. It's been along time since I have personally been in contact with those in Australia, more than half a year ago I was an ambassador to Australia from the Netherlands. I remember Aussies generally being inviting and easy to make conversations with, being in contact again today in game and IRC has reaffirmed that.

That leads me to my next point, We understand the situation that Australia faces with the unjustly attack by FYROM, and because we wish to improve the relations between our nations, we will be signing an MPP to cement the relations. Looking forward to friendly cooperation between our two nations!

Best Regards,

Jasper Zuidema
