[President] Regarding the impeachement and the continiuation of the war.

Dear citizens of eBE



Yesterday our president asked congress to impeach him for personal reasons. http://www.erepublik.com/en/Belgium/law/67593 More information regarding this can be found on eBE forum and I will not go further into detail. All I can add that is that I think I can speak for the whole eBE community when I say that we support his decision and wish him the best of luck in the rough times he has ahead of him IRL.


Now that Congress has finished the impeachment vote, I have been made president. I consider this a somewhat “poisoned gift” considering I’m being thrown in a challenge here and have to step in in a cabinet that isn’t mine and that still needs to bring me up-to-date over what has been done and what hasn’t been done in the past days. I somewhat feel like an architect who is asked to finish a building of which the walls and foundations have already been build by another architect. Nevertheless I see this as a challenge and will do everything in my power to complete it and find a solution for this crisis. Because make no mistake, my friends, we are in the middle of the biggest crisis eBE has had. On several occasions we’ve been very close to the point where we would have been completely wiped out if it weren’t for the huge effort of a few very dedicated players. I’d like to use this opportunity to thank them all.


Now, how will we continue? As soon as I heard I was going to be president, I set up a meeting with the active citizens in our #eBrussels IRC on Rizon (join it if you haven’t already since IRC is a very important tool in these times of war. ) and later invited the French MoD, uMoD and MoFa to this meeting. Here we discussed how to end this war as quickly as possible and after some debating, we came up with a plan. If this plan works and pulls trough, we will hopefully have our regions back in 2 days. Peace will be proposed some time later as the game mechanics don't allow a peace proposal for at least 7 days after a declaration of a Natural enemy

Other news

-I’ve decided that no changes to the cabinet will be made. We have enough to worry about as it is already. Changing ppl at this point would only make the situation more difficult for eBE.
