[President] My Perspective on Peace in UK and Info about the Czech Situation

In the field of political science, especially in the field of international relations, there is a school of thought called realism. Realism basically dictates that the world is anarchic and that states will do everything it can to guarantee their survival. Survival is the only objective of the state. Political realism while it might sound cynical or selfish, but it is indeed... realistic. Most people will do whatever it takes to guarantee ones survival when they are in great danger. It is human behavior. It is state behavior too.
I am giving you the narrative of political realism since I think the UK decision for peace with EDEN fits into political realism. eUK was in a similar situation as eGermany facing the Polish invasion. While they were slightly better off than we were, the situation was still dire. While their survival was not as grim as we were, the issue of survival is still being challenge day by day. Each assault on London puts the UK in great distress and danger. I do not know the economy of the eUK nor I claim to. I know Dish, GlaDOS, Mr Woldy really well. If they say this is needed, I think we should give them the benefit of the doubt. These people who are president for 3-4 times. They are congressman many times and they are political veterans. You might not like the decision but keep in mind these are not pushovers or noobs etc. The decision is made by expert politicians and they do not make decisions on a whim.
It is unknown that if EDEN can take London or not, stalemate, the decision is still sound in realism. Since states also do everything in its power to safeguard their interest they can continue the war and continue to burn UK and Phoenix gold and monies or they can save the gold and get their regions back. This decision while it is controversial it does offer a lot of benefits to the UK and their allies.
The stalemate was the best possible outcome. What if we are not living in the best possible world and that a different outcome would happened. What if like North of Brazil, that EDEN persistence paid off and that during one of the future possible attacks that London and the rest of UK fall, what then? Phoenix then will have more problems to deal with. We would have to commit a huge amount of resources on RW etc to make sure that eUK must have at least one region before Feb 23rd and keep that region until the 26th or risk PTO. If the PTO was a success then UK will be like Peru. Do we want that? Surely not.
The peace treaty with EDEN while it is controversial, it was a good decision. The function of the state is to make sure that the state will survive. It is to make sure that it is sovereign so that their population will not be govern or harassed by a foreign state. The state is to maintain and enforce the principle of the RL Treaty of Westphalia. So this treaty secure their survival, it results in them getting their regions back, and it also does not burden us with the cost for tanks etc, this decision provide many benefits or advantages compared to that of continuing the war.
This decision for survival is not so much different from my decision not to renew the MPP with the UK. In my situation, I did what was necessary to protect eGermany. Some might say it was cowardly or that it was stupid etc, my decision indeed prevent Polish attacks. I acted on the principles of realism to protect our nation above all. eUK did the same and I stand with them on this decision. Unless you say survival should not be the focus of the state, then this decision is a textbook case.

On a different front, last night Poland attacked the Czech Republic. Their former president betrayed their nation and promoted the Polish invasion. The goal of this war is to create Czechoslovakia. Poland will invade and conquer the Czech Republic and they will region swap with Slovakia (puppet state). This action is not supported by the legitimate Czech government.
The Polish invasion of the Czech Republic is a blatant betrayal of trust and friendship. This attack on a neutral state greatly damage ePoland's image in the international community. It is evident that ePoland believes in might is right. While the ePoles claim that they do not support the war and they are impeaching their president, the ePolish military and citizens continue to fight and increase damage against the Czech Republic. Regardless of their beliefs of the war, the ePolish military marches on and the situation for the neutral state of Czech Republic looks increasing grim. Eden "liberators" of Asia conquerors in Europe...

The tough decisions are often the ones that are necessary. Many people do not understand what the other options are when put in tough positions. I have stood by you, Konrad Neumann, when you had to make a tough decision to protect Germany, even though you knew it would hurt our economy. And although, I think the UK could have done a better job informing people about what they were doing or planning to do, I will support them. They are a sovereign nation, and they have just as much right as anyone else to make decisions to secure their freedom.

I already told you on IRC what my opinion on the UK issue is...
It's not the treatment itself, but the fact that most of UKs allies had to get that info from the press, instead being informed about what is going on up front. From my perspective UK-Administration sucked here big time.
The Citizenry of the UK was surprised by this as well. If it hadn't just come out of the blue (complete with "Peace in our time" quotes from Chamberlain) perhaps this would have gone smoother, but I guess we'll never know now.

Funny isn't? In 1938 and 39, Nazi Germany took the Sudetenland and what would now be the Czech Republic. Hitler then formed Slovakia as a puppet state and gave the Ruthenian parts to Hungary. Now all poland has to do is give Hungary a part and they are acting just like the nazis.

This time I cannot agree with you and I think you are wrong:
1)Realism is a theory beyond others, it is not necessarily truth. In (e)world history you might find examples which proof the theory and otherwise some which do not. It is up to us, especially to presidents and congress men to act - as omg said - with balls or not.
2)When eGermany not renewed its MPP with eUK it was for the best of our alliance (to prevent an double or triple attack on important PHX-regions and us which would have splitted our forces and to secure that the invested gold for resurrection would not have been wasted). When eUK makes peace now it is indeed the best for them but it is the worst for their allies which two days ago defended London for the hope of a back striking eUK.

If this article says one thing, it's that phoenix admits not being able to compete with/defend itself against EDEN, and thus sees as legitimate (and realistic) that countries back out of the conflict.
This may be justified for a desperate eUK to save itself(though I seriously the eUK was in such a dire situation) but it's still a very poor move for Phoenix as it gives room for EDEN to breath while weakening our own front in eEurope.
Fun fact: The eUS press justified finishing off eFrance(which was at peace with them at the time) by explaining that it would facilitate the invasion of the eUK

Did someone here ask themself why eUK pampas regions regulary got walls about 2 Million points higher than oh so mighty saarlingrad battle?
These 2 points alone put out what effort whole Penix put into eUK to survive and counterattack and now getting it stuck by the brittons where no sunlight will ever be. (and eGermany & eFrance never got btw)

1500GP should have been split by all Phoenix countries, because it was in their interest. That amount is not less costly than other solution to liberate eGermany and eFrance.
Balance of force would be shifting even more toward Phoenix in future since Serbia got high iron region.
If I was eUK citizen I would either change citizenship or simply stop playing this game (which I am going to do if eSerbia betrays her allies).
I re-read Battalgazi point of view and re- thought about this. I also read ALL comments and different perspectives.. If this was your idea and your mistake, then admit it, apologize and help us to save our trust in Phoenix HQs. With you as leader you are just going to divide Phoenix from inside – too many experienced and credible players do not agree with you.

The problem is not just the cost of 1500gps to keep up the treaties, it is also the cost of the tanking, the cost of any counter attacks and so on and so forth. All the while the eUK economy is collapsing, so we'd have had to more and more ask for help meeting the costs.
By the end most of the cost of the war would not have been able to be met by the eUK. It's have had to come from everyone elses coffers.
And thats if London held if it fell...
Meanwhile chances of getting those Mpp's to Europe, stupidly small and what if we did? Well the coast we could attack was actually held by eSpain and... they never attacked the eUK. In short the regions we could actually attack where held by people who we had no Mpp's against.
You can see the problem then I am sure, we would have had to force the Coast line against Spain without any Mpp's help, Mobile units maybe but not Mpp's. Thats something we would need a tremendous amount of resources to have even a tiny chance at.
But it gets worse, we'd have had to fight such a counter attack also blocking the people surronding us, which is sickly expensive, and would be activating their Mpp's against us.
We let up even once in those blocking attacks and they'd be able to launch a multi-prong attack with MORE force behind it than the original.
Likely driving us right back to eLondon and the loss of our capital and our regions, the closing of the Mpp's and the expense to Phx of freeing us! That dosn't serve our alliance that serves Eden. The betrayal would be if we had not used our brains. Fortunatly our leadership did.
