[POTUS] State of the Union - Day 2430

Day 2,430, 20:55 Published in USA USA by dmjohnston

I wouldn’t lie to you, eAmerica. It’s not my policy.

Mood Music: My Gift to You, Pillow

In my last address, I talked about our progress in last week’s new tournament, which was already spectacular. And then, eAmerica kicked it into high gear! We earned 825 gold over the course of the tournament. I’m pretty sure we have absolutely no way to get it out of the treasury, but you can be sure if we find a way, I’ll spend it all on a shiny Q10000 weapon. Or food for the needy.

With the eUSA forum on the fritz, we’ve been finding other ways to keep the government gears turning, and find other ways we have! I’ve been sad to not have our Daily Press Releases, but as the forum should be up tonight, that will be returning very soon. In the meantime, how about a little update on the last few days.

I told you that our Secretary of the Interior was having issues with availability, and after much deliberation and with regret, Trickstir has decided to step down from the position and offer his assistance as a deputy. Our newly instated Secretary of the Interior is Jayxm. I chatted with him yesterday and he is very excited to be taking the reigns. The cabinet as a whole looks forward to working with him.

How about those European battles right now? Some of the biggest Combat Order payouts you’ll see for a while. While we’ve dabbled here and there in the major battles going on in Serbia and elsewhere in Europe, our focus has been on supporting Russia against Romania and Mexico against Colombia. A few days ago, we fired up Arm America to assist Russia in Central Black Earth, and what a success it was! A recent article in the Mexican media hailed the eUS as their best ally. We’ve also been fighting beside Croatia, Bulgaria, Pakistan, and others. Any question of whether the eUS supports her allies should be well beyond answered with the commitment our populace has made to assisting our friends around the eWorld, and for that I thank you all.

Our rental agreement with the nation of Cuba was officially announced yesterday. I personally feel this was a major step forward in presenting the eUS as a stable and trustworthy nation that is willing to talk to other nations with respect and understanding. I hope to continue this pattern throughout the rest of my tenure as President, and hope that my successor will continue it as well.

We also had a strong showing from the Department of Homeland Security, in particular Director greeling, in the Party President elections yesterday. While a certain someone managed to grab another minor party, the Top 5 and beyond were secured. We’ll continue to pursue any PTO threat as we always have. None can hide.

My term is already a third of the way gone, and I’ve enjoyed every minute. Be sure to check out today’s WHPR from our outstanding media team. Here’s to another week of eAmerican’s doing great things and showing the eWorld what we can do.

Your questions are welcome in the comments. I’ll be doing my best to answer quickly.

Dio bless you, and Dio bless the eUnited States of America.
