Writing again to you all as President of the United States. Hope that everyone is doing well.
I don’t want to keep you guys too long, since I’m sure many of you are spending time with family and friends for the holidays. Congress elections are tomorrow, and I know many of you will be busy. All I ask is that you take the time tomorrow to sign in, work/train, and cast a vote for your congressional slates. Less than 5 minutes of your time can mean a month to your fellow Americans. I’ll be voting for the Federalist slate, and I’m sure each and every one of you will have your party of choice.
Also remember that if you have bought gold, you’ll have a few gift packs to hand out. I’ve seen some people offering to sell them or buy them, and I’d like to ask you all to just get into the spirit and give them away. I’ve received a gift and sent out a few of my own, it can really make someone’s day. I’ve also seen people trying to bribe others on the holiday, which in my opinion totally misses the point of the holiday season. The point of Christmas is simply to give, not give and expect payment.
I also want to give special mention to our friends across the pond, Ireland. Our rental war went off without a problem or controversy, and we were able to take Wexford and Cork without further casualty to Irish regions or their congress. Payment has been delivered, and I look forward to the continuation of our agreement and friendship for the next few months. I know some Irish still oppose the agreement, as evidenced by their media and the RWs in Cork recently, but I hope in time you come to realize the benefits of the deal and the costs of your actions (RWs aren’t cheap). I hope the holiday treats them well and they put their new funds to good use for their population.
Finally, I’d like to wish you all a Merry Christmas. This is always a tough month for the eUS, and I’m sure it decreases activity in other countries as well. It’s particularly hard on administrations who have to continue running things and stay active, but I am especially grateful for the members on my team who have stuck by me for either or both of my terms, despite the setbacks or arguments that might have occurred. Special note goes out to my people on Media, who publish every week and make sure eNPR goes on air; Education and Interior, who continually teach and help new players; and Defense, who make sure orders are set and put up with one another to improve our armed forces. You have all performed well and to my expectations.
I must inform everyone that I will not be seeking a 3rd term as president. There should always be a limit to authority, and I want to return to a smaller role in our country’s administration. It has been an enjoyable two months, but not without stress or complications. Overall though, it was a good experience, one that could be beneficial to many people. I hope to see a competitive month for January’s executive. I will become a spectator and commentator like everyone else again.
