Those who have been following Belgian politics recently, will have seen rapid changes rippling through the small country of eBelgium.

Rogue law proposals and ilegal imigration procedures cascade through our society and turn it upside down. The debate has changed into a verbal game of tabletennis.

The reactions to stop it are all but democratic. I understand their logic, I understand why they had to be done, but I do not approve of them.

The first good citizens have left already, speeding up the social demolition that has been started.

It leaves me to ponder on the fact whether I should stay or not.

On the one hand, I am very reluctant te leave Belgium behind in her hour of need. I am willing to stand and fight for what we hold dear in this country. But will I have the time to properly do so? And am I willing to dig through heaps of flaming private messages of shout-politics everytime I log in?

On the other hand, moving might broaden my erepublik horizon. I could learn from other countries, gather more subscriptions, fight different enemies,...

I will serve my time in this Cabinet, because that was what I was chosen to do.
After that, we will see...
