[PNhr] Party elections part two: ULJ and DNT

Day 1,456, 16:02 Published in Japan Japan by Sophia Forrester

Good afternoon. I'm C.L. Pastalia,

And I'm C.L. Pastalia.

This is

In our second segment today, we'll look at he elections for the second and third largest parties, the United Lolies of Japan and the Dai Nippon Teikoku.  First up is the ULJ

The United Lolies see two experienced candidates, both former Party Presidents, go head to head this month.  Ecka Stealer of Cows, the current President, has not run for a second term, leaving these two veteran members to go head to head.

Akki, the most experienced candidate is a former Country President and a veteran of the original United Lolies of Japan, who broadened their base and formed the National Alliance Party.

Ms. Sophia Forrester is also a veteran ULJ member.  She joined the party in 2009 and has been Party President once before, in January of this year.  Known as an advocate for open and inclusive government, she is a political idealist.

And she totally wrote that bit about idealism on Cloche's teleprompter just now!

Er, yes, well, for full disclosure, Ms. Forrester is an owner, editor, and scriptwriter for FNN.

Moving right along, the next party is an unexpected contender which has just recently reached third place in eJapan!

Dai Nippon Teikoku...  Doesn't that mean, "Great Japanese Empire?"

More or less!

Okay, well, this party used to be called the "Scapegoats." They more or less merged with Team Nippon a while back, with most of the members moving, and their next Party President, Yoshi Midori, reorganized them as the DNT.

They've really shot up in the rankings, but, it's not all good news.

...Yes. The Turkish illegal-iimmigrant militia iNRi has, apparently, joined DNT en masse. Right now an iNRi candidate is leading against native eJapanere Gonzo Garcia with nearly eighhty-seven percent of the vote.

So what are the chances this month of avoiding a PTO?

Unfortunately, not that great.  It's very unlikely that there's any group that could make up for such a huge gap in votes.  iNRi claims not to be a PTO group, but their conduct, coming into the country illegally and operating outside the laws, indicated otherwisel.

So a Party Takeover is almost a sure thing.  Let's hope that there's no Political Takeover later on.

We can all hope for that.

And that's it for this hour! Join us later today for more FNN coverage.

Do you think we'll finish the news story by the time the elections are over?

Don't say that while we're still on the air! ...This is C.L. Pastalia, signing off.
