(PM Address) Better Late than Never

Declaration of War on France

Everyone go crazy! I have decided to declare war on France. It was a very tough decision and one that I contemplated all day today. EDEN approached me today asking if I would be up for declaring war on France to get involved in the world war that has been raging for the last few days spanning the whole globe. I remembered my promise I made to eCanada when I ran for election and I will admit, I was 99% sure it was going to happen. However, things change rapidly. I remembered when France was invading Canada and Spain attacked France to block them and help us get the advantage once again in our war. After I was asked to do the same, I was happy to do so. Our allies are in danger of losing a war that will end up with some huge losers and countries that will be ruined forever. I am not going to stand around and watch that happen while eCanada does nothing.

I also think that this war will help eCanada drastically. I am saddened by the fact that eCanada hasn't been united under my term but instead been pushed farther apart. I sincerely hope that with this war we will see a new Canada. One that isn't dominated on the media scene by infighting and hate messages but instead of national unity and pride for our country. I also am confident that our economy will see a much needed boost after a stagnant couple of months. This in my opinion is what eCanada needs and what EDEN needs, it is a win-win and I am happy to be able to do so.

I am either going to be the guy who started eCanada's new empire or be the new "Bruck", claimed as the one who got eCanada wiped off the map. It is a legacy I take full responsibility for if it is the latter and I am prepared to handle the consequences. I am disappointed this is taking place so late in my term but I will make sure I work with the new candidates to make sure the transition of war is smooth and I will be there to guide them all through the war. EDEN will be helping us both financially and militarily I have been assured by our very own Ironman who is the Military Co-ordinator for EDEN. This will make it easier for the new president to handle.

Many people will dislike me for this move and it of course, still needs congressional approval. I hope that congress sees the need for this war both for eCanada and for our allies. Any criticism or hate I am willing to take on as I made this decision and it is one I will live through. Whether you like the decision or not, it is one I am confident is necessary for this country at this time. We are facing a country the size of our same with MPPs and it will be a tough challenge but I am confident we can pull through this and come out victorious.

Sincerely,
Derek Harland
eCanadian President
