Join the new world

Dear Citizens,

Today we’re celebrating 4000 days of eRepublik, almost 11 years, no less than 133 months, over 571 weeks, approximately 96000 Hours and more minutes than we can count. This has us reminiscing about the glorious past and contemplating the future of the New World.

Thus, the Plato Foundation Board Members invite you to a one-of-a-kind Media Contest. We want to hear about your experiences and your plans, your stories and your predictions, fond memories and other interesting bits that you might want to share with the eWorld.


Categories and timeline:

There are 4 categories for which you can submit articles. To give everyone enough time to prepare and post their articles, we have extended the contest for 40 days and each type of prize will be awarded every 10 days.

1 Best Forecast for Next 1000 Days
Articles should be submitted before Daychange 4009 (11 Nov)
Will be awarded on Day 4010 (12 Nov)

2 Best Memories from the New World
Articles should be submitted before Daychange 4019 (21 Nov)
Will be awarded on Day 4020 (22 Nov)

2 Best Record of a Large War/Military Operation
Articles should be submitted before Daychange 4029 (1 Dec)
Will be awarded on Day 4030 (2 Dec)

4 Best Interview / Series of interviews on eHistory/Future
Articles should be submitted before Daychange 4039 (11 Dec)
Will be awarded on Day 4040 (12 Dec)

To enter the competition, articles must be submitted in a comment to this forum thread before the deadline of each category.


Rules:

Because we want to keep things simple and not limit your creativity, there are only three things you need to keep in mind. To enter the competition, articles must:

Be least 200 words-long
Have an English version that should be displayed first
Comply to the eRepublik Rules

Citizens can participate in one or more categories.


Prizes:

The prizes for the articles submitted each week add up to 400 Gold and for each category there will be two lucky winners.

1st Place: 250 Gold
Runner-up: 150 Gold

At the end of the event, one of the four contestants will receive a special prize for the best article in the competition, of another 100 Gold.


To top it all up, there will also be up to 40 prizes of 40 Gold each for the activity in the comment section. The prizes will be given by the Board for the very best of your comments - be them the most witty, funny, well-written etc.
