It's time for Peace!

We have just under a month.. Work it 🙂

10.000 CC was not enough for the majority in Poland. So how much are you willing to pay in ransom?

odd, because Poland agreed to that sum. Altho personally I would be willing to pay more. If Poland sticks to their end of the deal, ofcourse. And they have not shown that very much yet.

The president agreed to that sum, but apparently his congress didn't.

Just some quick maths, we would get 10 x CM gold (5 each) , that is 50 gold or about 10k in money.
50% goes to the State, so the State pays 10k and gets 5k, We would have a minor bonus and make few bucks from taxes, but not enough to make it interesting financially. Poland on the other hand won't lose anyhting, they have full bonuses and max CM.

So why would Poland not be satisfied? Just because part of their Congress feels superior and doesn't want any deal with minor countries. No matter how much we pay.

So you want to give up? Future lies in better relations between both countries. Simple as that.

How to build good relations with arrogant, ignorant and greedy people? By paying them. So I ask you again: how much are you willing to pay in ransom?

I prefer a deal without any payment, but based on better relations between both our countries.

They are afraid it will be to easy to cut them of from their oil. So they want more money to compensate such risk.

That's why we'd only get 1 region.
That way they keep a double connection to West-NL, making the only single point of failure West-NL itself.

At the moment there's also only a double connection, in Germany. So cutting them off wouldn't get easier when we'd have one of our regions.
If we'd have two regions, then 2 regions would be a single point of failure, but both of those are in eNL, so it would still be as secure as West-NL only.

2 single points of failure in different countries would be a problem. In that case both can be RWd at the same time, and there is a big risk of losing one of them.

It's not their oil, it's OUR oil. Please don't forget this. Calling it their oil is as much as saying they are entitled to it and that is exactly how they think...

Maybe a reason why they did not agree with the treaty at last would come in handy?

Probably they think that 10k/5k is nothing. When you compare it to their daily income I'm sure it's not a lot. But when you compare it to ours, it is significant.

Great initiative, communication is the first key to a solution. If you keep acting maturely and with a level headed attitude, respecting your opposition a solution will present itself given time.

Being occupied for a year doesn't do this tiny community very good .... its getting to be frustrating to some as you can see in the different articles.

Due to that people just quit and move on to another game ...... if that is the objective ,.... they are succeeding.

But than again its just like a soccer match ...... than you need 2 teams to have a game .....
playing all by ur lonesome is a bit boring.
So letting us have 1 region would be a good thing for both , also the deal that was made wasn't that bad for anyone , not even for the polish

I say pay them once a big amount that will satisfy them (30-60k cc), then we get 1 region back, and after a month another.

They'll probably break that treaty too, they had great fun with it. We may not get the money back next time. Are you really willing to risk that?

Someone has to start to trust eachother, and we got more to loose.
It's a long dark histroy between the enl-epl relationship.
Negotiations are also about being open about it.
It's also about who you make the treaty with... not just the cp's, but also congresses should sign a peacetreaty IMO, especially if it concerns a mandate longer than a persons term in office.

this stuff you got to do out in the open, get cps of friended countries of both sides as witness. Inform the congress and public. This way nobody wants to loose face by cheating on the other side.

Just a reminder, ePoland is not really known to be trustworthy. So keep that in mind when considering a deal with them. Also keep in mind that they conquered eNL for the oil but decided to keep the rest of it's regions. Now they are asking money for your own regions. You are actually dealing with some kind of eMaffia republik. The best eNL could do is beg Plato to put something not rare as a resource instead of oil and hope the Polish Mafia lose interest in eNL.
