Day 1,715, 31 July 2012.
Hey PCP'ers! And anyone else who may read this ofc, It's been a busy week in the PCP as we've started to get quite a few projects underway.
Whilst some are still in the planning stages, and trust me it's frustrating having to keep them underwraps for this long, we do have plenty we can feel good about at the moment.
Firstly we had the first PCP irc meeting for quite some time and i want to thank everyone who came! It was fun, even with Jan trying his best to derail it with his suggestions that certain organs be treated to an unconventional bath xD
We discussed all sorts of ideas and plans and i highly suggest PCP members to check the news item above about the Write up!
I hope that this is a great turning point in party activity because we truely have some brilliant members and can achieve so much... basically we're awesome!
I'd also like to take time to speak to you about something that has come up since the IRC meeting which is a new Commune Resource Network initiative. As you may have realised we now have Q7 weaponry within the commune system and whilst this is great for us as a unit it does mean almost double the amount of WRM is now being used every day. As such we are setting up a network of supply for WRM to the Communes, for further information please visit the PCP forum.
And to finish up i would like to once again urge all members to join the forum and get more involved! We have lots of projects and initiatives in the planning stages and not only will it be an enjoyable time to get active on the forum, we could with all this going on use any extra help to be honest
😛.
For anyone who isn't a PCP member there are many reasons for you to join us and to get involved with a forward thinking, innovative and friendly community. We've long been the party that's focused on helping new players reach their potential and to providing the eUK with a real alternative not just congress but in the way eRepublik is played. We introduced the Commune system to the UK which has now been taken up by nearly all other parties and Military Units yet it's the PCP communes which give the greatest deal to those who work within them. All goods produced are shared equally.
And if this isn't enough keep your eyes out for more news coming soon from the PCP about initiatives and maybe even a giveaway!
Thank you for reading,
Comrade
Bye!

We cool to buy votes for articles again then?
Oh Wayne what a lovely way to attempt to deride my work. Don't talk about the content or anything, i was never involved in any kind of truce over buying votes, so don't act as though i've broken one.
Besides certain parties should be careful about criticising, not only have they used it before but in this instance even a congressman from another UK Party voted for cash 😉
It has no effect outside getting an article seen so calm down dear.
Panties in a twist much?
I've noticed that this is the second of these (great looking btw) articles that have had plenty of votes, plus the Royal Dragoon ones as well was just wondering if it was ok to start up again, sick of having to put in effort to get people to not only read but also vote the RN articles, i'd rather pay someone to vote em up for me.
Haha fair enough Wayne. I still heavily promoted this but like i said i've never said anything against it. It serves a simple purpose and everyone is able to do it, to me i can see the slight issue with it but it has no long term effect. It's more of a money drain but if you're willing to do it i don't have any personal problem with it.
And thanks i did spend a fair old while on the paper design 😉
Voted o7
@Wayne
Royal Dragoon articles didn't have votes bought for them. They were promoted across dozens of IRC channels to gather as many votes as possible.

Buying votes for your articles whilst dying
@Dark Ace You sir are a perfect example of the majority of political parties in eRepublik. All slander and no content, no ambition and nothing to say but mud slinging. As for your claim of 'dying' maybe you'll enjoy reading these statistics http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/uk-political-party-statistics-july-2012--2093611/1/20
Have a nice day, ps I love how you right wingers now use the communes too... Did the Market not solve everything for you?
Hail the Left
Hail PCP!
Whilst you have a point about non-communists using communes, how did you afford the Q7 - RL cash?
btw, the problem with buying votes is that you knock deserving articles by those who can't afford to buy votes out of the top 5 - a weird move by a communist.
I agree with that issue Danie, which is why once i had paid i ensured that we got votes to Kravenn's why not to fight in scotland article and ensured it stayed in the top 5.
I was well prepared for that situation, it's also been a rather slow week for news in the eUK.
As for the Communes we did have a collective raising of funds but i am not really the person to ask about it as i don't run the communes and can't give a definitive answer i'm afraid.
I love the way people from parties that brought votes for their articles are now slagging us off for doing the same thing...........cheeky
@Ergo Deus My apologies. Just that 80+ votes and comments that barely break double figures seems to smack of a cheeky 50 brought votes, and I should know what it looks like, as I used to do it for the RN 😛
Personally I have no problem with it, and I suspect most people wont have with the odd article here and there. I think we have to be careful though that it doesn't become the norm in eUK media, and that it don't reach the levels that the whole GreatMoff/jamesw debacle set.
It makes me laugh reading the lame excuses for buying votes. At the end of the day it's wrong for any party to do, even my party.
Wonderful graphics!
I think the conclusion to draw is that vote buying typically just attracts the wrong kind of attention and arguably doesn't get the article seen by any more party/MU members than it would have anyway.
And before I get called a hypocrite, yes I am aware that last month BigAnt bought votes. If you read the forum you will see that I have been 100% against it since it first appeared.
That is probably true Elle but it is clearly a lot quicker and easier than having to tout it on every IRC chan and to send it to every other far left party to get their members to vote. Infact i'd go as far as to say that it's more of a pain seeing the same person pimping their article every 5 minutes on IRC than it is for them to bypass that and just make top 5 by a slight margin.
Also is it just those who buy votes or are those who get paid to vote equally to blame if there is blame at all?
And thank you Emergy 😉 I enjoy graphic design so if anyone wants some graphics done or a paper template etc then do feel free to ask, depending on the job i might ask for a small fee but if it's a small job i'll gladly do it free 😁
I have no idea what I said about certain organs and baths.
