[PCP] Our Constitution
Zaphod Beeblebrox IV
Afternoon Comrades, this is a slightly late article detailing the changes to the party constitution. This is the new amended version that has taken into account the changing face of eUK politics over the past two and a half years. Many of our core values remain intact, as these are our beliefs, and what makes us stick together.
Introduction and Home Affairs
1.1 The guiding principle of the "People's Communist Party" is equality for all citizens, regardless of status, race, gender, age, wealth or experience. This is the guiding principle in eRepublik that we support and hold true.
1.2 In support of this guiding principle we hold the following core beliefs;
1.2.1 We believe in supporting and guiding the less wealthy and powerful because the eUK can only be as strong as its weakest citizen.
1.2.2 We believe in team work because collectively we can achieve more than one individual alone.
1.2.3 Everyone should have a say in how this country is run, regardless of wage, political direction or status within the eUK.
1.2.4 We believe in putting our principles into practice, in the way we work together in our party, in the way we work together in congress and, with your help, in the way we work together with you in government.
1.3 We believe in open democracy. All political decisions and votes affecting the public should be made in the open, except in the most extreme circumstances of national security. All Ministers should be available to respond to members of the public and account for their decisions.
Together we can make the UK great
The People’s Army
2.1 The People’s Army fights against the forces of inequality and exploitation.
2.2 The People’s Army fights for the worker’s interests.
2.3 The People’s Army is a purely voluntary force drawn from members of the People’s Communist Party and communes.
2.4 The People's Army does not fight for the United Kingdom's enemies, unless against imperialism.
Stance on The Economy
3.1 The People's Communist Party believes that the rights of the individual worker and consumer supersede the right of the employer to profit and that the best way to achieve this is to maintain as much state control over the economy as is necessary, for the common good.
3.2 The best way to implement this is to ensure that interests of the workers and consumers are properly represented by the party.
3.3 We believe it is the government's duty to ensure fair trading practices and that a worker's wage should enable a high standard of living, and is also flexible enough to change with the price of consumer goods and in response to market forces.
3.4 Government regulation should prevent the problem, not just suppress it, and to that effect we will avert market failure with foresight, instead of having and then solving an economic crisis.
3.5 Every worker should have the right to a fair wage, regardless of employer.
3.6 Every citizen should have the right to buy fairly priced goods, undeterred by a monopoly in the target market.
3.7 Every company manager should not obtain huge profits to the detriment of the public or employees, as we believe that every business has a responsibility for society.
Leadership and its roles
4.1 The PCP does not believe in a single leader, but rather a spokesperson, through whom the entire experience and collected knowledge of the PCP is expressed. When one votes for the PCP CP candidate for the country, one votes for the PCP as a whole for Prime Minister.
4.2 The PCP chooses its leader through a common consensus about who should be the next leader. The PCP believes competition weakens us through division, rather than through unity.
4.3 The PCP leader is discussed and elected in the forum, and thus PCP members should make it their primary aim to join the forum as soon as possible. This is due to the constant threat of Political Take Over.
Stance on other Parties.
5.1 The PCP are willing to work with all other UK-based parties on policies that we share. We will not however, go against our ideals in order to support/gain favour with them.
5.2 We are willing to trade ideas and cooperate with other international communist parties without directly influencing their policies or elections. The UK however will always remain our first priority.
Foreign Affairs
6.1 We will not influence other countries' General Elections. We believe countries should decide upon their leader, not us. We have no right to influence the result of an election through direct or indirect attempts. The will of the people is all important. The only time we will ever go against this is if the country is at risk from a PTO.
6.2 We will make it our priority to serve the UK, but in the event that a party that we share close link to calls for help, we will strive to meet their requests when possible.
Conclusion
7.1 The People's Communist Party holds these ideas to be true and solid. We will not go against our constitution unless in times of extraordinary circumstance.
The People’s Army
The People’s Army is a PCP-run Military Unit. As well as fighting for directly under MoD orders, we promote a sense of community, comradeship and fun. It is currently led by PCP oldfag and general nice-guy Sir Botham . If you want to join please do! We are always looking for new members, PCP or not. Members that are in both the PCP and the PA can gain around 40 Q7 weapons per week (no job required), and those in the communes (ran by Steeeev) can gain approximately 65 Q7 weapons, and 3000 health per week - on top of those 40 weapons. This is clearly a great deal!
Congress Elections
I am happy to announce that we have once again agreed a deal with New Era to run 2 candidates under them this month. Jimbob will be releasing an article in the near future.
Vive la revolution,
Comrade Zap xoxox

1st and voted. o7
nothing too special pops out from this.
"The People's Army does not fight for the United Kingdom's enemies, unless against imperialism."- so did you fight against us when we invaded Norway?
"The UK however will always remain our first priority."- except when we try to expand....... right?
Equality in communism?! They say that's their goal when their true aim is to suppress the people below so that the leaders can rise above the populace. Therefore making them more important dictators, what's equal about that?
What really has alarmed me is that you say you believe in democracy! Communism only ends in dictatorship! Democracy isn't even in the communist dictionary!

pleeeease go read something about communism/communist thought other than cold-war era, US propaganda. Not cos I want you to agree with it, just that your responses would be more interesting if you did
i know enough of what communism to know that it's a failing stance on life. I shan't be wasting my life reading up a relic of ideology
Quite
so you agree do you? So you go against the 'constitution' and so should be punished
notinb4bloggs
whats your stance on TWO? Seeing as TWO's primary directive of gaining 10/10 resources for as many nations is Imperialistic in nature...
its already seems clear by the constitution that they are against TWO and any kind of expansion
I just wanted to hear it from them : P
I for one was against the occupation of Norway from the start, in your survey Bohemond, you can see that I answered give them back immediately.
As for TWO there wasn't ever any public discussion about whether we should join them (that i saw...), it was just announced one day. I couldn't have even told you that 10/10 was one of their aims
Teppishc: It is one of TWO's aims (: As for discussion, Talon held a congressional vote and discussion on it in which the overwhelming support for it was yes, as was the discussion was in TUP
Sure, we probably could have had more public discussion over it, though I would still back our inclusion due to the benefits.
I have a serious question, and not one I intend to 'flame' or 'troll' but, you have consistently backed New Era, a party that claims war is the best thing and should be encouraged, especially conquering other nations and their resources. Current PP Goku called for the invasion, and subsequent destruction, of Ireland.
How do you equate your anti-imperialistic stance with the NE stance on colonial ventures? Or, do you admit that you don't really care about New Era and their goals, merely running with them for Congress seats?
This is one of the things I have always struggled with, I think you guys are a pretty awesome party, but I always wonder how you can work with New Era month after month and still call yourself anti-imperialistic...
It's worth noting that 2.4 "...unless against imperialism" gives a requirement that's necessary before the PCP could fight against the eUK, its not actually an imperative to do so. That said I think we do have a generally anti-imperialist stance.
We have a good relationship with NE and are happy to work with them on issues/policy that we have in common, and appreciate running congress candidates with them but neither of those involve supporting their entire range of policy. If we were planning to support an NE presidential candidate, running on policies including those you mentioned, then the issue would definitely have to be discussed but we haven't so far.
The PCP are an independent party, not part of any formal alliance or under an obligation to any other parties or their policies, just whoever we feel is best, like you saw last month where we (along with the TUP) backed but5jam for CP 🙂
fair enough, personally, I think NE's policies are totally wack, but thats my personal opinion. q:
I wish your party the best of luck in the future!
haha fair play, & thanks!
Looks Good
