Evening Comrades, this is the first article from your new party president. I do appreciate it is the 20th, which is pretty late, but this is due to the fact that I did not know whether I would even have party to run. Anyway that’s irrelevant now. 🙂

PCP-New Era Merger.

The Past few months, there has been lots of discussion on the possibility of merger between us and New Era. This is a proposal that has been proposed and backed mb a mixture of NE/PCP members. Anyway yesterday after plenty of time to debate, and to gain first hand knowledge - PCP congressmen working with New Era the past month - the vote was taken. Here is the official results:

Should PCP and NE merge completely?

Yes - 2
No - 16
Abstain - 2
Number of invalid Votes - 2

The results of this have been pretty conclusive. There will be No merger between New Era and the People’s Communist Party. On a personal note I am very relieved about this result, as it shows the comrades desire to remain an independent party, and the loyalty they have for us. The ones highlighted in green were valid. Two votes came in after the deadline and as such are invalid (although it hardly would of made a difference anyway). xD

I would also like to point out that just because we have voted no, this does not mean we do not want to never speak with New Era ever again. I am still keen for us to work together in the future in matters that benefit both us and the United Kingdom.



Helping Out This Month

Now I want to really get things going this month. We’ve been pretty lazy and inactive these past few months, and it’s about time we changed. 😛 I have lots planned this month with a recruitment drive, increased articles, new policies, amendments to our party constitution and party lulz all part of the agenda. I cannot, of course, do all this by myself so I need willing volunteers for me to shift the workload onto. 😃 If you are interested in helping out I am looking for volunteers in the following areas:
-Recruiting New Members to the Party
-Writing Articles
-Running party games and initiatives.
-Helping out in the PA and libertad.

Congress Elections

At this moment in time, I am trying to negotiate a deal, which would allow PCP members to run for congress for a 3rd consecutive term. I am fairly confident a deal shall be made however. This does of course mean we need volunteers to run for congress! There are no requirements to be met, although forums/irc access, and a desire to help out in the party/government is a big plus. If you are interested, again just message me with a short paragraph on why you want to run for congress, and what you can offer. Priorities will be made to those who have never run before/been in congress for a long time.

That’s about it folks, just a quick reminder to all party members, there is a party meeting tonight at 12:00 Erep time (that is 8.00pm GMT) in #pcp.private . It would be great to have as many people attend as possible, we will be discussing the month ahead, and just brainstorming ideas of each other.
