Join the new world

Good evening Comrades,

It might be a surprise to most of you that I am not an omnipresent being, I am in fact just a man with a simple goal in eLife; to save the world from inactivity. So it was a surprise to me that checking the People’s Communist Party’s came up with the news that I, Sir Rex Fleddington (first of my name), was given the position of Vice Party President. I was so surprised by this news that I thought I would write a speech on the matter as an acceptance of the position, a thanks to Zaphod, and an acknowledgement of the amazing work I do for PCP.

Now I know that Zaphod and I have been great friends for a couple of years now (this being evident in his decision to make me his MoEd, Pending Chief advisor, and potential VCP, and my decision to praise his popular awards idea), but I feel like you guys need to know this as well. Back in the day of IRC (an online chat room for erepublik players), Zap and I were really close buddies who would chat to each other for entire nights at a time. Conversations about our life passions like Bass Guitar, Zap’s education in music, and my goal of becoming Bamber’s second in communist command (back then he was called Acroc). Both of us would supplement each others party cabinet, but also compete in elections to keep the party on its toes over which style of leadership they were going to have (Zap😛izzaz, Rex=Chutzpah). In fact, we were so close and such a strong duo that we were getting continuous praise for having the most potential in the group. These predictions of greatness were not lost either, Rex became the leader of the greatest Communist movement in eRep history that made PCP a global superpower, and Zap cemented a legacy of excellence at article writing and cabinet appearances. In a way, our victories were not just plentiful, but shared almost like we are brothers.

Moving on to my opinion of Zaphod’s adoption of me as his second in command. I can’t lie, it is a great honour and one that deserves such a response as this. Everything I have done in eRep has been done in order to progress the communist movement, Zaphod knows this and I am sure this move by him is due to that fact. Zaphod also knows that I am a humble dog, I could never ask for this position as many others deserve it more (Bamber, Keith, and Timmy for instance). However, I could never reject such a blatant act of reward from our leader. His positions are his to give away as he wishes, out of everyone in the eUK he believed I was the man and I appreciate this move. So thank you to Zaphod, but also, thank you to everyone in the People’s Communist Party for the important and dedicated work you do day in and day out.

Finally, my goal as your VPP. I think we can all agree that I cannot take this role for granted, as I only have 6 (insert most relevant date) days until the next election. Therefore, using this remaining time, I will work on my re-election to the position of VPP in the next cabinet. This will take the form of messaging individuals, mass-messaging, and discord speeches. I hope that whoever wins the next PP election, will take into account that I will not take no for an answer and I will pester them until they give me what we all want.
