Today marks the twelfth anniversary of the founding of the Philippines in the New World. Our country was added to the game on 11 February 2009 along with Malaysia, Singapore, and Serbia. Happy twelfth anniversary to our four glorious nations!

Other significant events in Philippine history on 11 February include the Fall of the Kingdom of Mindanao and Sulu (2010), and the opening of the inaugural E-Palarong Pambansa (2013). Meanwhile, two days ago marked the fiftieth anniversary of the end of the real-life Diliman Commune (1971).
