[OFFICIAL] Update on the Diet

Day 1,077, 08:49 Published in Japan Japan by Geno Garon

Greetings, citizens of eJapan. After my weekend-long frolic in nerdom-extraordinaire, I come to you with this brief synopsis on the goings-on of our National Congress, or as we like to call it, The Diet.

1: Me getting voted in as Speaker of the Diet. That is all on that.

2: A rather lively discussion about the possibilities of a training war, and an argument about which country we should get it from to get the most *BANG* for our buck. An interesting read for new citizens, as this grants a good look at how international diplomacy affects smaller countries with smaller budgets.

3: TAX REFORM. Company owners, take note; these changes are meant to dramatically influence our market, so be prepared with knowledge, or if you have any comments or concerns, POST THEM.

4: A Ministry of Health? An ongoing discussion about the possibility of having a State-run food company that could be used to provide our soldiers and citizens with emergency food if our market dried up. The merits of this proposal are up for discussion, and a side-note to this topic includes creating a list of "enemy companies", in other words, companies run by what we suspect to be Indonesian multies, in order to put these companies to light and get the citizenry to boycott their products.

5: An "interesting" vote concerning a Trade Embargo against North Korea. Though it was meant to be an experience proposal by President Akki, the proposal ended up passing. Perhaps there is more animosity against North Korea than the current government had anticipated.

6: Government-sponsored media. In essence, the Diet is discussing whether or not to contribute monetary or notoriety rewards to certain citizens who contribute to the continued media presence of eJapan, in order to encourage other citizens to do so.

7: New Minister of Security. It's ExReality. Nuff Said.
