[NZ] PnPPP

Day 1,484, 22:20 Published in New Zealand USA by Fionia
aka P

Like I mentioned previously, I will not be running a contest this week. Look for a new one before the end of the month.

Tonight, I bring you news on an unrelated topic. This month I will be running for Peace 'n' Prosperity Party President.

For those of you who do not know me well, I was one of the founders of this country. I watched the very first political parties develop. I watched the political landscape change dramatically. Throughout that time, one party has remained constant in New Zealan😛 the Peace and Prosperity Party.

I have been a member of the party for many months now, after I returned to the country from my brief vacation. I've mainly avoided getting too politically involved because I was burnt out after dealing with the eUS political scene.

But it's been too long. The sweet song of political activity is calling me back, and what better place to start than here, the one and only party I would consider joining (in eNZ)?

To say that I'm qualified for the PP spot would be a serious understatement. I've been involved in politics in every level in this game. I've been VP of two different countries, I've been part of the MoFA team 4 times (including this month). If you need evidence of my skill in managing a political party, well...the fact that the USWP exists today is all the proof you need.

Also, you might recognize the images I've been using here as some that have appeared in the PnPP Express (side note: if you're not subscribed to that paper, you should be, since it's the main source of party news outside of the forum). What you probably don't know is that I made these, and several more, for use by the party, to promote itself. That's right, I have designed the current face of the party.

So yes, I'm qualified, and I know and love the party. But I can practically hear you all asking "But what are you going to do?"

The big word of the month will be incentives. Let's break it down:

We've had a minor drop in our party population recently, but it's nothing that's impossible to recover from. Along with my Party Secretary Oboacer, I will implement a plan to give prizes to party members who manage to recruit their friends into the party AND also manage to keep them around for the month.

I will also take a serious look at how our party's congressmen use their citizenship passes, and try to maximize the benefit towards both the party and the country.

If you haven't signed up for the new eNew Zealand forums, you really should now. It is the best place to discuss anything eNZ-related with your fellow party members and country members.

It's also where the party discusses important things like who wants to run for PP next, or who wants to run for Congress, or who to nominate for Country President. By not being on the forum, you are missing out on a lot of opportunities to provide input for the party.

Alongside the forums, IRC is our other main communication tool. If you don't know what that means, check out this article: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-reprint-basic-irc-guide-1755298/1/20, which is still relevant except for the list of important channels.

You can find me, several hours a day, on IRC in our party channel, #PnPP.NZ and our country channel, #eNewZealand . If you want to talk to me directly, that is without a doubt the fastest way to do so, and I would strongly encourage you to try it out.

This article is really getting to be a bit longer than I expected, but never fear, I am actually finishing up here. Just one last major topic to address.

As far as political events go, Congressional elections have really been my main focus every month since I first entered politics.

And I don't intend to stop now.

A party is really at its strongest when all its members are voting efficiently, not wasting votes on candidates who have already clearly won or candidates that have no chance of winning.

But that kind of organization also requires quite a bit of cooperation from you, the party members. And this month, I intend to make it worth your while. I will be running some election day raffles. All you have to do to enter will be to ask, on the 25th, on the forums or on IRC, which region you should vote in and which candidate you should vote for. By helping your fellow party members get elected, you will help yourself to some new tanks or gold.

I'm ready for an exciting month ahead. I've got the gold and the vision to see this party succeed.

Now it's up to you. Do you share my vision?

Signing off,
