Join the new world

Update: Looks like I was a day late and a dollar short. I was supposed to have my candidacy placed on the 2nd as that was the cutoff. So, my chances of having the tech guys add me into the race is so slim that I will be throwing my full support behind Nomadicracer. Surprise!

I am here to announce I will be joining the fighting pit to square off against the nomad and the ape as the wolf in sheep’s clothing. Nothing like an exciting fight to see who wins!

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Aries Prime. I have been our MoD for 3-4 months (I literally don’t keep track) while being part of the MoD team for over 7 months. I have been a congressman for far too long and have had too many headaches navigating the dreadful forums. I have very strong connections with Asgard and a few other neighboring countries like Ireland and am now getting involved with Switzerland. I am a supplier for Netherlands during our RW’s and more recently was supplying for a Canadian RW and part of a Swiss one. I even ran for president last May and lost, but I’ll explain that shortly. The point is, I am dedicated to this country, and I by far have plenty of experience to run this country though domestic and foreign issues.

My Cabinet and Previous CP Bid

Last May I ran for CP and lost. My opponent, RikW, went on to take the helm, including negotiating with the Polish for weeks that did not bear much fruit (Approximately 2k Q7 weapons payment to Poland and 300k transferred to a neutral country for three months was required of the treaty). It was during this time that I actually grew to respect ElGorro. He was one of the very few government members I saw putting in extra effort to make things work. Although we disagree on a few areas, I don’t not consider him a bad candidate for CP (I know this is GPN blasphemy!).

To continue on with my cabinet, it will essentially be the same as what we already have under van Spijck. To give you an example of what I had envisioned, take a look at my previous CP article. The idea will basically be the same, only with the current government members to be transitioned over. This does not mean you can’t apply for ANY position you want. I completely welcome players from any party to lend me a hand. My strongest suits are foreign relations and MoD, so it would be great to have people on board that could advise me on areas like helping new players, community games, or any domestic issues.

My only real change right now would be to invite Nomadicracer on as my vCP. I think he has incredible potential and could really benefit from the position, as well as benefit Netherlands.



Asgard

This past month Asgard rejected us from joining. Apparently, 7 congressmen from Sweden decided they did not want us to join. All other countries accepted us. This clearly means that a large majority of people in Asgard welcome us. I have always had good relations with some of the leaders in Asgard, but I feel that now, more than ever, have we really connected in a favorable and beneficial format for all our countries. I can easily see a bright and secure future in Asgard, and I hope that the rest of you do as well. The alliance is a true family that supports all of its members, and we deserve to finally have a home where Netherlands is treated as equals of that family. I plan on being our delegate for future relations with this alliance where I will work to get us in.

Negotiations/RWs Poland

We have been in a tight spot with Poland for many months and probably will be for months to come. Last time I ran for President, I opened up the possibility of negotiations with Poland and specifically asked some of the leaders of the other parties to step up and represent Netherlands as a negotiator. Unfortunately, they all turned down my offer. Therefore, I have decided to take this responsibility upon myself, and if elected, I will open up a chain of communication between me and the Polish CP to work towards a favorable treaty. To be clear, I refuse to sign any treaty where we must pay for regions or give up our right to fight side by side with our allies in other engagements.

On the topic of RW’s, are standing will be the same as always if we cannot come to a favorable treaty with Poland. I might attempt to have more frequent government supported RW’s, but that depends on our finances and world events. At the very least, we will continue to have RW’s, but as of now I can’t promise a large increase in them.



So guys, I hope you all make the right decision when voting for our new CP. I suspect there will be some serious changes no matter who is voted in, so it really is a time to carefully consider your options. Thanks for your support!
