Sambo and I had this 'ere idea before Dan q: and we are looking into purchasing an MU. I was intending to have it invite only and only have one person in it controlling it.

When supplies are forbidden (or only done by government only) I think it will not work. Government is not rich enough, some groups are and use their supplies to buy members.
Better give some groups regiments they may supply and brag about them being strong.
In the same time their is a national MU ordered by MoD/CP.

For the rest I agree. It would be wonderful when it becomes true. .

As an ex-CO who came up through the ranks more times than you've had hot
dinners, I wish to join my husband Niemand in poo pooing this idea. Since the
introduction of MU's there will always be someone willing to offer better supplies
than any government would be willing/able to match. National military units will
generally insist on high levels of activity, being online and on IRC at the same
time everyday, and again this puts people off joining, myself included. This type
of military was fine when there was no other real choice, and when there we
many more active people in the eUK, but I can't see it working now, there's too
much hate in the eUK these days, does anyone really believe that a single MU
would even survive the bawl fest of it's creation? It's a real shame because the
British Navy used to be one of the finest and most attractive and butchest fighting
forces in the world. I loved those white flared trousers and the feel of rough blue
serge on those pert little ...

this one offers no supplies. 5. No supply will ever be given in the MU if the government ever wishes to supply it must make those supplies available to all eUK players no matter what MU they reside within

the MU is not supposed to beat any unit's supply and is mostly there for combat orders and competitions

i don't expect a lot of people to reside in this none supplying MU but they can if they want

I like the idea of a national mu. We will need supplies however and certainly do not like the idea of using IRC to get them. Supplies should come automatically to the fighters.

well the plan would be not to move MUs this isn't a national MU everyone should be in it's a national MU that will probably have 1 person in the majority of the time ('cept competitions) anyone else there won't be there for the supplies (probably for a quiet life)

Love the idea. In the feed people should not be allowed any political messages because even now that can clog up the whole feed. But people also shouldn't be allowed to post on the feed unless they have an important etc. I'm not saying that Freedom of Speech is banned, but otherwise there will be pages and pages of posts on the feeds that are missed.

Why even name it 'army'. If it's for setting orders via the new system then just call it UK Gov and be done with it. Says what it is on the tin, And it'll be clear that the order and payments are coming from the current Government :3

Also there is an alternative as to how to acquire it.

Come take my own man MU, I've already offered it up to Iain when he asked about such a possibility. If the Gov or CP wants it, they can have it. Saves money, No one gets upset and don't have to wait around to take control. Can have it as soon as you want 😁

Whatever is fine by me, I don't have the time at the moment to commit to an MU at the moment, so it's there if you want it. Just let me know and I'll hand command over 😉

Also I'd suggest having perhaps 2 people just to cover that'll little bit more (and it has a small amount of CC because I was playing around xD )

MWC has a bit heart... but he also has several smaller ones that he stole and kept in special jars with strange bubbling liquid... But I think MWC doesn't like to discuss it too much...

We cant even get every MU to work together with the MOD in a group let alone work in a single MU.

my idea is different to Goku's idea, please read from 'SO THE PLAN'

i did and all your going to get is an empty MU that a number of people will join during competitions.Read between the line people who say they wont join a MU at competition times because its linked to,or its that with a different name,i think we should get 2nd place etc etc are just making up reasons so they don't have to join up with other people.

i believe lots of people are reading goku's idea and thinking it's mine which it isn't
i will be changing the article slightly to account for this
