PTX - Rather Be
We're a thousand miles from comfort,
we have traveled land and sea
But as long as you are with me,
there's no place I'd rather be

I can’t really talk about anything substantive in Foreign Affairs without discussing Iran and my role in it. Israel has given you his thoughts on the subject and it’s high time for me to give mine.

Nearly two weeks ago I was asked to check all of our orgs. You already know this part so I’m not going to restate it, but in short. I checked them and found the Rogue Squadron Org couldn’t be accessed. I then verified that it did indeed belong to us and that we hadn’t loaned it out to anyone. After doing that I proceeded to get back control of it.

This was never a foriegn org. No one was given the authority to give it to anyone. Because of that fact, I considered it to be stolen.

When I saw what country it was in I was more than a little irked. Not only had Iran actively supported Bulgaria against us in our recent war but it seemed as though their top MU had stolen our Org as well.

The last thing on my mind at this point was contacting the people who stole it to ask them why they did. I let Israel know what I had found and let the matter rest.

I fully understand the outrage at Israel's article. I was not in favor of what he did or how he did it but really as CP it’s his decision. My job as Chief of Staff is not to make the decision. It is to present the options to the CP so that he can make it.

My opinion on what we should have done is to privately notify Iran of the situation and explain that because this org was in fact stolen from us we would be keeping the contents, unless a valid explanation could be given that showed us, for a fact, that their top MU had not been apart of stealing the org.

It is my belief that, because of the fact that they never once contacted us in the time that they had it, they knew that they were using an Org they shouldn’t be and didn’t want to tip us off to it’s use. It’s obvious at this point that the situation is most likely not going to be resolved anytime soon.

This has caused issue with other allies mainly because they are confused over the facts of the situation. We need to be clear that we did not “steal” a foreign org. We regained property that was stolen from us in the first place.

Now in addition to the issues in Foreign Affairs we all knew needed addressing, there is also the matter of Tenshibo’s article concerning remarks I made. I said I wasn’t going to BS you and I am sticking to that promise.

For the last month, I have watched Jaden A. tackle the problems in Foreign Affairs with determination. As Tenshibo noted, she didn’t really have the mentoring many of others have had in Foreign Affairs. But despite this fact, she has done a great job and kept things consistent during her terms as Secretary of State.

Her style is firm and direct, dedicated and punctual, and she knows how to run a meeting. These are all qualities which, as Israel has taught me, are something that make a great Chief of Staff. Which is why I am glad to announce that she will remain there.

I am not so delicate when I'm drunk which is why I usually don't drink and talk to people. I think very few of us are. The only thing I regret is not talking to Jaden about how I felt.

I don't think sorry cuts it here but I am.

The both of us have agreed to move on from this, and work to help create a solid foundation for the upcoming month.

For my next article I plan to focus solely on the great people that have agreed to be in my cabinet.
