[MoPR] Regiment Captain & Party Elections

Day 2,425, 15:46 Published in Norway Norway by Pressekontoret

Today your Ministry of Public Relations would like to present some very important information to the public. In three days we will hold elections for Regiment Captains as well as for choosing Party Presidents. It has come to our attention that the role of Regiment Captain has gone largely un-used in Norway and that to benefit everyone we should try to elect one for each Regiment.

Captains of MU's
Captains are elected leaders of the Regiments and are a part of the command chain of the Military Unit.

Elections
Every 14th, members of the MU that have reached the rank of Captain can candidate themselves for position of the Captain. Every 15th the Captain Elections are held, when the members of the regiment selected their Captain. The candidates can not vote for themselves.

Captains Abilities
Captains have the ability to set the Daily Orders for the regiments and remove members from their regiments who've been in the MU for longer than 2 days. Commanders are not able to remove/change captain orders until these battles end.

Daily Order
There are some special conditions you have to be aware about captains and daily orders:
-Captains can set up to 5 daily orders a day
-"Removed"/changed daily orders are still available until the specific battle ends
-Captain orders concerning daily orders get a higher priority than commander orders
-Commanders cannot change or remove daily orders set by captains until the currently order ends

Calling All Captains!
It is high time we kicked into gear and attempted to elect a Captain for each Regiment. If each Regiment has a Captain our military becomes more effective because we no longer have to wait for the Commander to set orders, we have Captains who can do it. Are there times when you have thought, "Why are we fighting here when we could be fighting somewhere else?"

Well now you can change that! Lets all help taulen out a little bit. If you are at least a Captain level we would like to see you nominate yourself on July 14th, and vote on July 15th when you vote for your Party President. What if we have 5 candidates? Who cares, the more the better! Please help your country, people and Asgard and nominate yourself for Regiment Captain on July 14th!

Party President Elections

On the 15th of the month citizens can vote for Party president on party elections
Citizens need to be members of a party in order to vote in party elections and, of course, they can only vote for the leadership of their own party.

They can access the voting area from the homepage of their party by clicking on the “Vote now“.

If there are no candidates for the party president election, the sitting party president retains their position.

For a citizen to vote, they have to:
-Access the Elections screen and click the "Vote" button next to their choice.

-On the 15th of the month citizens with an Adult Title can vote for their Party president.
-On the 16th of the month the following takes place:
-At 00:00 (eRepublik time) voting ends for the Party elections.
-Between 00:00-06:00, results are displayed as Intermediate Results, as Admin verifies that Multi-accounts were not used.

-The previous Party president remains President of the Party until 06:00
-At 06:00, the most voted candidate in the party becomes the Party president.
-On the elections page, the results will be changed to Official results.

Currently each party has a candidate except for TP. This is a friendly reminder to the members of TP to nominate a candidate/s or you will have the same Party President you do now. Most parties also only have one candidate. Remember that just because there is already a candidate, doesn't mean we cannot have some fun races for PP's in Norway! Don't be afraid to candidate yourself, release an article and give it a shot!
