{MoPI} Welcome to New Zealand

Day 1,052, 18:01 Published in New Zealand New Zealand by New Zealand Public Information

Dear Citizens of New Zealand,
Welcome to our new land. Everyone here comes from somewhere, and I am excited that so many of us have been willing to work together by bringing multiple cultures and backgrounds into our community while leaving behind old alliances and prejudices. After extensive discussion and an open poll, the community has named Myles Robinson the provisional leader of the government until we can conduct in-game elections for the Country President on November 5th. He has selected a provisional cabinet of advisers and ministry leaders, which you can find in his paper along with a handful of other helpful links.

Join the New Zealand Defense Force

Bradley Reala and Kyle321n have been working hard over the last few weeks to put together the structure for a formidable military. Platoons are being formed now in the New Zealand Army, our homeland force of politicians and newer players, and the New Zealand Special Air Service, the mobile fighting force open to any New Zealander willing and able to travel abroad. If you are interested in joining up to serve your country, fill out one of the applications below:

Join Our Forums

While the great and glorious Admin in his infinite wisdom has provided our nation with a section of the official forums, most of the interaction in our community happens on our own forums and IRC. Both places offer great opportunities to hang out with folks you know and meet new friends as well. Right now, there is a lot of discussion going on that will set up our nation’s basic philosophy on things like foreign and economic policy for months to come. To get involved now, just follow the links below:

Interested in Politics?

Right now the community is working hard to make sure that when election time comes, we have a great deal of good candidates on the ballot. There are other groups who would like to move in to New Zealand only long enough to loot the treasury and take off, those are not the people we want winning Congressional seats. If you would like to work with the community to keep it safe for those of us who are here for the long haul, you can get more information from this helpful article:

New to the Game?

If you are new to eRepublik, welcome! We are glad you decided to start off here in New Zealand. When you get lost or confused, you don’t have to cry like that baby up there. Come to the community on the forums, IRC, or even the in-game newspaper media with your questions and concerns. You will find plenty of people who are more than willing to help. If you want to get involved please don’t think that your lack of experience will hold you back. There are plenty of entry-level jobs that need to be filled and plenty of folks who have been around the block who are happy to teach newer folks.

Thanks for reading the Sheep Shagging Gazette!
