[MoMC] Acceptance Speech and Organization

First, I would like to congratulate SHIN GOUKI for winning the presidential elections.

Despite all the plotting, planning and politicking, Shin emerged rightfully victorious thwarting down the ambush and machinations of ahem you-know-who 😛


But I must say it was all very amusing to watch 🙂
It was a bumpy ride and now after the vicious storm, it is time for positive progress and unity!

I thank you all on behalf of everyone in the government for voting and being part of this extremely trollegial collegial environment. The elections did pump up a lot of energy, and I hope the same passion prevails for the rest of this month.

I formally accept the job of MoMC and I thank Shin for trusting me with the responsibility. I look forward to an eventful term. I hate a dead place and THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN AS LONG AS I AM MOMC!!! (phew I had to go Saud on this one lol)


Also someone called me “useless”. I don’t know who because before I could effortlessly slice his head off with my sword, he deleted the comment XD


Just kidding... Atleast I am glad that I don’t need to rise up to high expectations. 😛
Ok after that brief bout of silliness, let’s get down to business.

As MoMC, these are my goals:

1. Induce a lot of activity
2. The newspaper media to be rife with articles
3. Broadcast information to the public
4. Spark up creativity and innovative ideas
5. Cross-cultural promotions to aid networking with the rest of the world
6. Fill the place with fun and make it engaging so as to help in newbie retention
7. Provide you with a platform to express yourself
8. Open up different channels of communication
9. Host contests and give away prizes which would also help the recipient financially
10. err no tenth goal, looks nice to have 10 points, just a filler 😛

Channels of communication:

1. Newspaper
2. IRC
3. Skype
4. Forum
Newspaper -Two aspects of newspaper content:

1. Informative articles – Governmental press release, Political journals, Educational articles from mentors, Articles pertaining to Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs, Updates and orders from the Ministry of Defense

2. Entertainment articles – Creative writing, Contests, Troll rampage, Random rants, personal issues, Anything-goes

Skype and IRC – Skype I believe is a better way to communicate than IRC since it is more convenient but IRC also has its own quaint charm and is indispensible for trading/mercs/updates etc, so we shall nurture both equally.

Forum - Now, I haven’t spent much thought on a Forum, so if anyone wants to take that baby up, they are totally welcome to do so.

Want to add more to the above?

Facebook? Twitter? Youtube? Gaming Forums? Tons of ways to get us a BabyBoom! But this is beyond the scope of my duties and probably has more to do with BB department.

First steps:

I shall be starting three contests shortly, say in a day or two. So watch out for these:

1. The Brainstormers - This contest is to spark creativity and also be a segue to implement your ideas. It is most likely to be held once in a week and is open to everyone in the world!

2. Best Articles – Based on different criteria, I shall award writers with prizes

3. The Casino – Shin wants to hold a lottery contest shortly. So all you gambling addicts have a reason to celebrate 😃
CROSS – CULTURAL PROMOTIONS:

I want to open up the channel of communications between people all over the world. So ANYONE in this world and also the outer space is welcome to participate and interact.

VOLUNTEERS:

I am in desperate need of volunteers. I shall work but you see us vampires also have a RL and need to sleep in the day. Let us all do this together, yes? So send me a PM and join my team. Did I mention it is awesome to work with me? 😛 So, please hop aboard 🙂



PARTICIPATION: The main idea of the whole department is “interaction”. Now interaction is a two-way street. So I request you all to participate. It will be a lot of fun, so don’t miss out on it. Encourage others to participate as well.
