[MoI] Mid-term report

Day 2,862, 12:12 Published in Netherlands Netherlands by Ministerie van Media en Recrui

Dear citizens of eNL,

Due to some ministries being a little slower than others and being away for most of the weekend this got posted a little later than i had hoped, but here is our governments mid-term report!

Country President:

The first half of my first time as president went very well. There weren't any big problems and the goverment is doing it's daily job. We had a lot of foreign requests for collaborations, but sadly we couldn't come to agreement yet with some of our partners.

There is something to say about Midgard. This was an idea of a small alliance between Norway, the Netherlands and Belgium and there were talks between these countries last month and this month. Sadly we have to come to the conclusion there isn't going to be an alliance like this. Belgium is on the other side internationally, so it will be very hard for them and for us to be in an alliance with a country which is on the other side with a lot of battles.

We've started this week with the DAF plans. These involve some media articles (one published already, next one in the following days), and talks with the people involved in DAF. I hope we can improve the situation this month already, but at least I hope to create some awareness about the problems. We need all the help from everyone to improve our country!

Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has continued the course we set over the past few months - improving our global position by increasingly allying with new-found partners in Asteria and pro-Asteria. In this context the Ministry has resigned most of our MPPS and is continuously seeking new ones.

The MoFA also has kept the entire government up-to date on affairs around the world. In this light the Netherlands have been busy with talks with our neighbours (including Norway & Belgium) and also with our allies like Slovenia, as the current changing circumstances (Slovenia kicked out most places in Europe) gives us both threats and opportunities.

Ministry of Defense:

This month a lot of things happened out of our borders, but (un?)luckily no one attacked us and we have not been involved in any active war. Slovenia is struggling against the UK and Italy "supplied" mainly with Croat COs. It's our duty to help them. We had been working in a couple of TWs but they did not work, we are still thinking on how to boost our activity, as always you have your prios on the DAF wall and your commanders have them also.

Ministry of Home Affairs:

Traditionally, the Ministry of Home Affairs is one of the most exciting ministries within the government. We are tasked with managing the Security Council for Immigrants. Thus far, we had a total of exactly one foreign citizenship applicant, who was not accepted due to unproven necessity to leave his country and join the Netherlands. On a more serious note, we would like to remind every Dutch citizen to notice when a new thread has opened in this subforum: http://www.enetherlands.nl/viewforum.php?f=213. Every Dutch citizen can vouch for a citizenship applicant if (s)he knows te applicant and thinks (s)he is trustworthy and should be accepted, or when the opposite is the case.

Ministry of Recruitment and Culture/Coaching:

The Ministry of Recruitment & Coaching did its usual stuff the first part of this term. We lured at the Help part of the forum and hoped to make some new players happy, but sadly enough no new forum registrations yet. We republished a Coaching Article and sent the new welcome message to new players. We also started working on a long expected fun contest, which you will certainly hear about soon…

Ministry of Finance:

First of all, big thanks to Jordic, Mattio and Tonie for their donations. As you might be aware, we are looking for a number of players who want to help with keeping up a decent number of MPPs, so if you have all the training grounds upgraded and have some extra money each month you want to help our country with, please send a message to Trannsvaal.

Ministry of Information:

We tried to post an article every 2-3 days this has mostly worked, up untill this one 😉
We had to wait on some ministries a little longer than others so some of these reports are already 4 days old, so could be a wee bit outdated again.
We will continue to try and inform you the people with articles, old and perhaps even 1 or 2 new articles that are in the process of being written, it will depend on how they turn out.
