[MoI] Friends that count
eAus Department of Information
This special bulletin is to announce the establishment of a new, regional alliance, with eAustralia as a founding member. Congress has overwhelmingly endorsed this initiative, the culmination of months of diplomacy and negotiation prior to and during Majester's term as president.
Though eAustralia remains committed to EDEN and our long-standing friends and allies, it has long been recognised that many countries within our region share common threats, issues and interests and that cooperation at a regional level holds great potential.

MISSION STATEMENT
Together we stand, divided we fall. Common cause preserves us and binds us to common action. We endeavour to ensure members have regular elections, maintain national territorial integrity, guard against unauthorised resistance wars, and harass common enemies until they desist or are destroyed.
MEMBER NATIONS
Australia
Brazil
Chile
Colombia
Portugal
South Africa
Uruguay
The CSC is governed by a Council, comprising appointed representatives from member nations and elected operational personnel. The alliance is led by a Strategic Commander, supported by a Senior Tactical Commander and Junior Tactical Commander all elected by the Council.
The CSC will organise itself using IRC and forums, and may establish a military task force capable of turning the tide in key battles.
In keeping with the close, regional relationships bound by common interests and threats, the motto of the alliance is "Amigos que contam", or "Friends that count".
With neighbours like ours, we have much to gain from working together with other countries in the region to secure our survival and long-term growth.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What about EDEN and Terra? Are we turning our back on them?
A: eAustralia remains committed to our long-term membership of EDEN, CSC is a regional alliance that supplements rather than replaces our commitment to EDEN.
Q: Why bother with this? EDEN/Terra is where it's at, the member countries aren't big/strong enough to compete.
A: As a regional alliance, CSC members still function within their alliances to EDEN/Terra, and cooperate on achieving regional goals. Smaller countries can only be effective when they are stable. Larger alliances do not always have the spare capacity to resolve small regional matters that are critical to this stability. Therefore stabilizing our region in effect strengthens our broader alliances.
Q: How do I get involved? Where is the forum, IRC channel, etc?
A: If you wish to be involved as a soldier your best bet is to join the ADF. If you wish to be involved in a command position, you should contact the Minister of Defence, Minister of Foreign Affairs or Prime Minister.

Not to piss on anyones parade but I see a flaw in this logic. While you have a superpower in Brazil and a loveable underdog in Austrailia, the rest of the nations seem to be there for name and protection only. Having been through quite a lot of Alliances during my time in eSingapore, I can attest to the fact that an alliance MUST BE at least half comprised of power nations or rising power nations.
I'm just concerned that your new found alliance will go the way of Sol and die an equally painful death.
@Relorian
I have to agree to you.
Plus, Brazil will always keep TERRA/EDEN missions as priority.
Its not like we are going to defend Uruguay instead Croatia or USA.
Amigos que contam!
This confederation has potential - whether it works or not will be up to the members in it.
If the approach is for seeking protection under mantle of Brazil, of course it will be doomed to failure. If it is for cooperation & support I can see it achieving heaps.
I see it as giving a southern hemisphere focus to things.
Rarely do I, but on this occasion I couldn't say it better than what Louise has. Particularly, the comment:
"I see it as giving a southern hemisphere focus to things."
Anyone who has been frustrated about our support from time-to-time will have given thought to our geography and its distance from the seat of power which, let's not kid ourselves, is in the European bloc. The Confederation is focused on nations which reside in the southern hemisphere, a largely under-represented bloc in terms of our side of the fence (i.e. not ONE) and compliments our strong bond with EDEN.

I know for sure that ePortugal will be there for you guys!
If only we could purge New Zerbia and get true kiwis into this.. (sighs)

a) No to CSC. That's my old high school 🙁

@Malastrazas
so..... where is Spain? kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Go Portugal!
@Ouke Stinos
New Zerbia?
HAUHEUHAEUHEHUHUHUEH xDDD
No Argentina?
I'm dissapointed. With Argentina in there, you could have at least somewhat succesfully pretended that this is not about "Brasil and her beetches". And with some of them giving Brasil original regions for free because they love Brasil so much. Some people are so freaking pathetic...
Meh!
What's next? Those Inci *renegades* and the greeks?
