Switzerland,

I come before you today to explain the current state of affairs in Switzerland, the factions trying to coexist in Switzerland, and to announce the awakening of a new party in Switzerland.


The current state of affairs

Generally, Switzerland is doing great! We have a region in the great white north thanks to our friends from Canada. We pay 3000 CC per month to the Canadians for their generosity in granting us a sanctuary from our European island. Thank you, Canadians!

Because of this region gain (achieved during Alexandre Walen's term), we have been able to have congress, and hopefully another congress this month. Congressional elections are 6 days away, start thinking about running now, we want active and responsible congress members! With one region, we will have 10 congresspersons, and thus 10 citizen passes. Immigration and activity continues to be vital to our prosperity as a growing nation.

The cabinet has been a flurry of activity. We have our own forum, where we have been hotly contesting a manner of issues you will soon hear about (economics, social welfare, military, alliances etc). Your government is hard at work behind closed doors, and hopefully our toils will bear fruit soon enough.

We had a new taxation system ready to go, but Plato threw a monkey wrench into our tax plans by deciding to destroy the small and wiped countries of this eWorld. Plato has waged war on small countries through the taxation system, and I fear the development of super-countries. However, there seems to be some silver-lining, as Plato may have included a bonus to those fighting in resistance wars, and wiped countries gaining strength over time. I hope the admins took into consideration the fact that a country can be re-wiped after a territory has be reclaimed by the rightful owner. Only time will tell.


The factions of Switzerland

In Switzerland, months of combating multiple PTO groups have finally paid off. Both the Cronoss-lead swarm of multies and the short lived flood of Hungarians have both subsided and edged back into the sea they came from. This means the period of unification could end, and, as always, new factions were formed (see The Tragedy of the Commons).

There are the pickles, the AIM, the SFP, the PPP, and the two-clickers.

The pickles are the US ATO team that came to our country in our time of need in order to resist the rising tide of multies. The pickles are spear-headed by our current president Thedillpickl, and they have always abided by our laws and customs. The pickles patriots have assimilated into our country, and are now a strong faction of Switzerland.

The Anti-Imperialist party is the oldest continuous political party in Switzerland. The AIM is mostly made up of old Swiss government officials, mostly retired, who still care about the country they used to be so involved in.

The Swiss Freedom Party is not the same SFP some old players might know it as, it is instead the party lead by mostly new Swiss citizens with a few old players. It is the second biggest party in Switzerland, and a vibrant party of activity.

The Popular People Party is a new breed of activists lead by Remi Remi the most peaceful person in Switzerland. The PPP brings great joy to Switzerland and is ranked 3rd in Switzerland.

Lastly, the two-clicker faction makes up the majority of Switzerland. These people rarely message or post, but they do significant damage and occasionally vote in elections. I tip my hat to those people, although I wish they could join us in politics some day.


The Swiss Federation

The oldest party in Switzerland, seeking rejuvenation, will now become the newest party in Switzerland. I now introduce you to The Swiss Federation


The Swiss Federation will be launched off of the foundation of the departed AIM, but will become a new community all to itself. Look for future updates from the Swiss Federation.

For now, I encourage you all to come join! Congress elections are very soon, and I would love to see new faces in the party as congresspeople. Because the party is new, everyone has an equal chance right now to get into congress. So join us!
