Hello and welcome to what I am sure will be the last article from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this term! We’ve been through a lot in this short month but that’s not to say the end of the term will see a quiet and peaceful time and we yet again be focusing on what will be happening on our own shores.
So if you haven’t already seen it, Ireland are again at war with a Natural Enemy on us. There’d be much more to say on this issue but it really we have no idea what the point of it is. While the Country President of Ireland has released an article on the reasons behind the decision, though this was just talking about uniting Northern Ireland with the republic of Ireland although the elections are coming up and MUFC is running for CP yet again so this is probably more the reason behind it. In my opinion there’s a little more to it. Recently the UK Government was approached by Argentina to have a training war with them because they wanted to become TWO aligned. They tried to pressure us into having it this term, something I found suspicious. I spoke with Blue And Evil and Rhual (the TWO SG) and we agreed to keep them on their toes and tell them we were still thinking about it until after the elections to see what it was exactly they were planning…
Well, it seems they were planning to celebrate the anniversary of the Falklands war with fireworks by using an Airstrike on us in East Midlands which unfortunately they won. You may be wondering what exactly this has to do with Ireland. Ireland have recently joined the defensive brotherhood “CUA”, so most probably found out or was told about Argentina wanting to Airstrike us and thought it’d be a good idea to attack us first so that we’d be distracted and the Argies would be clear to hit. Fortunately for us the Argies don’t seem to be the sharpest knives in the draw and there was an ad put up on Argentinian websites that specifically said that they’d attack us on the 2nd April which was yesterday at the time of writing. Couple this with the Argentinian MoFA who was unable to lie when we asked if Argentina would attack (which we was pretty confident would happen regardless) and we were given a good couple of days to prepare. Though Argentina won the Airstrike, those couple of days proved invaluable to us. I manage to undo some damage done under another administration and talked Brazil into helping us and allowed us to become MPP’d with them which will enhance our night time damage! I’ve also been lucky enough to speak to the current Secretary of Foreign Affairs in TWO, Mininuns, who is a Spaniard. After speaking to him, he spoke to the Spanish CP and they’re currently voting on an Airstrike which will hit in one of Argentina’s 3-4 native regions so that we might bring an end to their occupation of the UK. They wanted to celebrate the Falklands, which finished quickly and effectively, so that is what they’ll get.

I can't believe you took the most insignificant and irrelevent part and blew it out or proportion, I never even said it was for you to get more votes... If that's the only fault you found then the rest of it must be pretty spot on.

Argentinian here, mind you. I wanted to clarify this for you all, including your leaders.
What you tried to do was impossible for us. Gladly, we would have delayed the war on different circunstances, to better acommodate you the UK.
But there was a problem: It HAD to be launched on April 2. There was no real plan after that. There was nos conspiracy, there was no bad call or anything like it. It was NEEDED to be launched on the 2nd. Not on the 1st, nor on the 3rd. On April 2, and only in April 2. That was so we could capitalize on the anniversary of the Malvinas/Falklands war, as you said. We probably could have launched it much earlier. Even keep it secret (or better, at least), but that was never the intention, since the publicity was needed.
Anyway, good luck, and let's have fun.
As for whatever outcome of the war, we all know how this will end. In case you have not noticed, diplomacy is not Argentina's strong point.. well, in the game too, lol. We are surrounded by enemies, and mistakes were made, and we made enemies both in COT and in TWO. I'm pretty sure COTWO will, if not today, eventually send in all available help to the UK.
Our job here is not to win the war or wipe the UK, We only want to extend the BB as much as possible. Which was why when this was a WG, we were planning to prolong the war as much as spoible, without wiping the UK (if we did such a thing during a BB, it would kill it)
Hope is now clear why we cound't wait till the 5th.

During my discussions with Florencia. At no point was the Falklands mentioned and I'm 99% sure this was deliberate because we were pushed and pushed to have it "before the end of term". Not even a date was given.
I'm not sure if I got you right so, PLEASE, correct me I'm wrong, but it was obvious it was the 2nd of April! I mean, it was the anniversary!
Had the anniversary been on April 6, after the end of term, we would have started it that date, and with your permission. A true TW was the best possible outcome. Hell, I'm not in charge or anything like it, but we probably would have asked Ireland to delay it's war too (mind you, on that matter I'm not sure what happened, CUA is not a true alliance, so there rarely is a common objective going on)
There are not many people in the UK that really care about the Falklands unless Argentina are ranting about it again, let alone know the date the war started.
So, you knew we were going to attack you for 5 months or more (read your forums) and you call the current venture "not sharp knife" ? I admire your courage. As said above, the date was set a long time ago to match a RL commemorative date, hence the digital newspapers news and all.
Our approach for WG, without being MoFA or government representative to claim truth, was clearly done because you could also benefit from such war (guess you're bored of fighting Ireland over and over, why not another enemy?) If that couldn't happen we were going to attack on that set date anyway as explained above.

We wouldn't have benefitted what so ever, and Florencia said this was to become more pro TWO which was the only benefit there'd be and clearly is wasn't for the UK itself. You already had a Babyboom and this "war" isn't going to last long so there's little if any point to it before Argentina are wiped.
Various points to take out of this:
1) Argentina diplomacy sucks
2) Ireland diplomacy sucks
3) MUFC is Ireland's BigAnt
4) Argentina cannot into TWO
5) Argentina cannot into CoT
6) Argentina cannot into Falklands
7) Unlike other nations, Argentina cannot keep out RL events in a game...
What else? Oh, yea, next time learn to explain yourself better, and, if we say no to a TW don't pretend that your invasion is one...

Still, Point 1 is true. We do suck at it. On the other hand, we don't have other countries that tell us what to do, that's a plus. Still, Point 1 is very true. And so is Point 5, since we really don't like them. Also, as we are virtually surrounded by COT, we would be extremely bored to not be able to fight at all, since we wound't be able to have targets around us.
This is just a game. Yeah, it would have been nice you guys accepted the TW.
Your leaders knew of the war in advance, knew exactly when we would strike and when. The was was going to happen no matter what. Being threatened with "TWO will not let it happen" did not helped either.
No, prior to Argentina threatening to airstrike, we didn't give a shit. We don't actually care about the Falklands conflict here. No one was writing articles saying "ALL HAIL FALKLANDS ANNIVERSARY"
Argentinians are the ones who are patriotic about this. We only started talking about it because you wanted to airstrike. We get nothing out of this, only a waste of money. We didn't want it either.
This was a straight up invasion by Argentina, don't try to paint it as some sort of TW.

Not because we care, we simply have no alliance to respond to.
We simply believed this could be FUN.
It was planned as one (as a TW). It started as one. Now is not.
And it's a waste of money for us too, mind you. But it's also an investment. We are hoping some of the BB will stay (as all BB's only a small % end up staying). The idea was for the UK to do the same, and do stuff like this more often.
I mean, this is a war game. You guys had peace for far too long.

We will wipe the invaders from the British soil, it was just the beginning! I hope TWO will do more to repel the enemy.
Oh, they will, we know our small travel has a stop and it won't be long. We had a reason, and that reason has been almost completed.
Oh, and give my regards to Spain. We were expecting them to throw the AS to East Midlands, so they could conquer it and return it to you via RW. That way you had a stronger chance of turning campaign back and closing the war BUT, they threw it to our originals.

No, we were expecting them to hit us in the UK to actually HELP YOU remove us from UK and stop the invasion, where we were actually focused. You know because, right now, don't care about our original regions as they can be easily recovered via RW? The only one that could give us a fight on RW is Chile because their div2/div3 are strong and their div4 be easily supplied with mercenaries and even THEN we still beat Chile, but Spain ??? Seriously? One minor RW with a little push and Canada beat them just some days ago.
