[MoFA] The Cunning Adversary
bowen199
In the Art of War there are many tactics that can be used to gain favourable advantages. The mightiest of armies can fall to a smaller, but more cunning army. However, like a game of chess, even with an advantage you can still lose. A harsh reality United Macedonia had to come to terms with.
Slovenia also came close to underestimating their adversaries. While the average player calculates victories based on total strength, the Swiss government has shown its military strategic capabilities by exploiting “Weaknesses and Strengths” (Chapter VI, The Art of War). As a result, both Switzerland and Slovenia have something to gain form signing The Geneva Treaty.
Switzerland benefits from regaining 2 original territories as well as gold for those occupied by Slovenia. While this deal may not be groundbreaking in terms of deals, it is on the other hand an extraordinary morale boost to be treated fairly and with respect from Slovenia. This deal has shown some of the more naive strategists that we do not have to accept unreasonable demands.
Slovenia benefits as Switzerland gets regions that provide no bonuses to Slovenia and guarantee no direct wars. After all, Serbia would most likely have a congress if Slovenia were not defending un-needed bonuses. By guaranteeing no wars at home Slovenia can provide support to their allies in need until ONE regains momentum.
The Swiss government has been accused of breaking previous deals with Slovenia, nonetheless we enter this deal knowing its part of the game. We are ready and prepared for the good or bad because we too are a cunning adversary.

Good article Bowen!
Ron, we never had a deal with TEDEN, but we still remain friends with them. Terra and Eden have both supported our agreement with Slovenia. Why? Because they know that we are still capable of having alliances with France and Italy, and they understand our position. Even the Supreme Commander of Terra congratulated us.
I'm just saying there's a difference between sincerity, and veiled politeness. Frankly, I've heard from a large number of citizens from TEDEN nations who are pretty angry with the decision. And tbf, France and Italy aren't exactly the strong houses of those alliances, I'm sure it was Slovenia that dictated the MPPs you could sign, just as I'm sure they left them out on purpose.
But ce qui est fait est fait, I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised to see a TEDEN invasion since you guys seem to flip-flop sides in your 'neutrality'.
Hey Ron you know alot, wanna try and get back London now?
lol good attempt at trying to deflect criticism by throwing an insult, but honestly, I've come to expect it from you Bowen. I can respect MG because he at least gives constructive feedback. For a MoFA, you probably show the least diplomatic finesse of any person I've seen in the position (cooldude97, your MoHA in fact funnily enough fits the position more than you).
But since you wanted to point that out, you do realize that we're completely surrounded by TEDEN right? Adding to that, you can't even try to critisize because unlike eSwitzerland, we haven't just jumped on the bandwagon, and flip-flopped alliances. Sure it's gotten us no where so far, but that's what happens sometimes in this game, as we've seen with many nations that are now great (ever heard of USA?).
❤
Soumadwemakedeal?
shut up Ron Swanson...no one cares, now run back to your occupied shamble of a country
not entirely mad in the least, I was just making an observation 😉.
And klop, how's Canada treating you with Addy being arrested.
