Remember back in the day? Before Asgard, before CoT, before TWO, back in the days of Terra? Back in the day, we had a great ally. No, not just an ally. A brother, a dear friend. They helped to protect us, and in their time of need, we protected them as well. Who was this? Why, none other than our American friends to the south.

The Canadian-American relationship has existed since way back in the days of beta, but for essentially four years, we have been two peas in a pod. America may charmingly call us their hat, but there's no doubt that our two nations have had a very close and intimate unity. We've lived and breathed side by side, through the ups and downs. Even when we were most tested, when our borders were invaded by hostile forces, when America was but one region from wipe, we kept united, fighting as one. We fought them off, and sent the damn Serbs and Hungarians back home. We were victorious.

Surely, such a relationship could not ever end. Sure, we joke around and propose lulz NE laws from time to time, but all in good fun. Citizens essentially freely traveled between the two nations, and while we had two different flags, we were of one spirit.

Yet, tensions arose. As the USA grew bored of Terra affairs, they sought something new. Canada decided to stay with Terra. With the whole Ctrl crisis, relations were strained. One bribe and rogue proposal later, our two nations were at war.

There were mistakes made by both sides. But at the end of the day, our two nations grew distant, as we went our different paths, the USA into CoT and Canada into Asgard. Yet, there are still many players from both sides that miss our great relations of days old.

Our two nations have had time to recover from the memory of war. It is time to restore the American-Canadian relationship. It will take time, certainly. We will have to learn not to forget, but to forgive. We won't be able to restore our relations to its former kinship right away, but we can take the first step. So how about it? Let's rebuild the American-Canadian friendship of old. I miss our bro. How about you?
