[MoFA] MPP Update

As the world waits to see what will happen with TWO and the world alliance structure, Ireland has begun re-signing a few MPPs, while looking for new allies to reach out to and build relations with.


Bulgaria

This term, we've signed another MPP with our historical ally Bulgaria. Our two nations have been close since before CoT was even formed, and when Bulgaria was betrayed by EDEN HQ, Ireland supported Bulgaria's decision to leave EDEN, something few other nations did. Since then, our nations haven't fought against one another directly, even when we were in opposite alliances. This MPP should further strengthen our comradery as we both monitor the world's alliance structure.

Finland

The Asgard nation of Finland has been a great addition to our MPP stack over the past 8 months. We became closer to them weeks before attempting to join Asgard, however despite being denied entry, our nations have still remained closer than ever before. Their nation has been invaded by countless TWO enemies over the past few months, and with help from their allies, they continue to fight them off. Originally they did not intend on adding an unexpected MPP this term, but made an exception for us. Ireland is happy to again join our ally Finland this term and help them continue the fight!

Indonesia

Indonesia was a nation that many EDEN nations didn't like very much, but times change and we've left the past behind. Recently they were invaded by a nation they once called friend, Poland. Ireland stepped up to the fight last term to give them a hand when needed. They currently share many common allies with our nation, and Ireland is currently re-signing our MPP with them this term so that we can continue to help them fight for liberation this term.

Russia

Ireland began moving closer to Russia long ago, just before they decided to join CoT. We'd always had a common ally in Canada, and we wanted to expand our relations with them and did we ever. Since then, they've been invaded by multiple TWO enemies, and Ireland has tried helping whenever and wherever we can. Their original wipe from Hungary happened just as the US was getting invaded by many TWO nations, but when CoT came together, they were able to remove Hungary from the US, and then from Russia. Since then, Hungary has tried and tried to invade again and wipe our allies, but regardless of the odds ahead, Ireland looks forward to standing by our Russian allies to repel the Hungarian threat!

Peru(EN)

We are very excited to start relations this month with Peru. Peru is a fairly new ally for Ireland, whom we've only fought for without an MPP in the past, but this term we've offered them a hand and they accepted. They are currently fighting CUA, who joined our Enemies in TWO. Ireland has learned from past mistakes, and we look forward to helping Peru this term in South America. Many aren't very informed of the nation of Peru, so allow me to give an introduction...

Peru claimed its independence from Spain in 1821, and defeated the Spanish a few years later in their final battle, The Battle of Ayacucho. There were many uprisings against Spanish occupation in the past, and perhaps one of their most legendary heroes was Tupac Amaru II, who rallied resistance against the Spanish in the 1700s many times, but who was executed in 1781. (Yes this is the guy that Tupac Shakur the rapper was named after xD)

Their land has been home to many ancient peoples, and the largest pre-Columbian empire in the Americas, the Inca. The Inca left behind many beautiful historic sites, of which the most well known, Machu Picchu, was built in the 15th century.

The capital and largest city of Peru is Lima, with a population of nearly 8 million people.

Peru was added to the game in late 2009. For a long time after joining the game, they suffered a major PTO threat of Polish players, much like the US is facing of Serbia, but over time were able to finally repel the threat. They have been members of various alliances, including ALA (Aliance of Latin America), EPIC (which was formed in early 2012), and eventually CoT, of which it was one of the first members. Since joining CoT, they have been at war with CUA, and after CoT's disbandment, the war continues to rage on.

Ireland looks forward to learning more about Peru, and helping our new allies on the battlefield. o7

Estamos muy emocionados de comenzar las relaciones diplomaticas con Perú este mes. Perú es un nuevo aliado para Irlanda, por quienes nosotros solo peleamos sin tener un MPP en el pasado,pero este termino les ofrecimos una mano y ellos acceptaron. Ellos estan peleando en la actualidad con CUA, quienes se unieron a nuestros enemigos en TWO. Irlanda ha aprendido de sus errores del pasado, y buscan ayudar a Perú este mes en Sudamerica. Muchos no están informados sobre la nacion de Perú, así que dejenme darles una introduccion.

Perú se independizó de España en 1821, y derrotaron a los españoles unos años despues en la batalla final, La batalla de Ayacucho. Habian muchas revoluciones en contra de la ocupacion española en el pasado, y posiblemente uno de sus heroes más legendarios fue Tupac Amaru II, quien lidera la resistencia contra los españoles en el siglo XVI muchas veces, pero fue ejecutado en 1781. (Si, este es el tipo por el cual el rapero Tupac Shakur fue llamado así)

Su territorio ha sido cuna de muchas culturas antiguas, y del más grande imperio pre-colombino en las americas, los Incas. Los incas dejaron muchos hermosos sitios historicos, y el más conocido, Machu Picchu, fue construido en el siglo XV.

Perú fue agregado al juego a finales del 2009. Por un largo tiempo despues de que se unieron al juego, sufrieron una gran amenaza de PTO de los jugadores polacos, como la que EEUU enfrenta a Serbia, pero con el tiempo fueron capaces de repeler la amenaza. Ellos han sido parte de varias alianzas, incluyendo ALA (Alianza de Latino America), EPIC (Que fue creado a principios de 2012), y eventualmente COT, en el cual fue uno de los primeros miembros.
