ChewChewShoe: Waddup homeboy.

ChewChewShoe:
Could you start by introducing yourself a little bit?
Who are you? What have you done previously in your time here in eRepublik? What, slightly more specific, are your duties as the Minister of Foreign affairs of the UK?

Betafoxtrot:
I'm Betafoxtrot, the current Minister of Foreign Affairs in the eUK, 15 time Minister of Home Affairs and one time Minister of Defence! My current duties include writing articles and guides, liasing with other countries and within TWO and every now and then doing a podcast on FA news :3

ChewChewShoe:
The UK is currently in the alliance The World is Ours.
What is your personal opinion on the alliance structure?
How organized is the high command of the alliance?
How closely aligned do you personally feel that the UK is to the members of the alliance?
What are the major differences between TWO and ACT?
How closely does the members of TWO cooperate with ACT, compared to for example the TWO - CoT cooperation that has been seen the past few months?

Betafoxtrot:
TWO is structured pretty well I would say, especially with ACT being used to support it much like GEA supported EDEN rather successfully, enhancing TWO with more damage to get within the main alliance itself. Even command is full of pretty friendly and driven and I have no doubt this alliance will do well - so Ireland should definitely join ACT. Luckily for us as a founding member, we get on well with all the countries in TWO and probably even better with those in ACT!

ChewChewShoe:
How is the UK functioning internally?
Could you please describe, shortly, the duties of the members of government?
Could you write a short summary of the top five major parties in the UK?
Is there anything major going on in the UK that you feel Ireland should know?
How do you believe our training war is working out?

Betafoxtrot:
In the government at the moment we have a fair few guys; a MoD, a MoFA, a MoLA/PM, a MoF and around 4 MoHAs, each are given free reign really to do what they want, so while I've been doing what I've been doing, we have 2 MoHAs working on education and two working on games. As opposed to the usual top 5, I'd say we have a top 6 parties as the gap between 5th and 6th is so close. First we have UKPP, a relatively new party who has come leaps and bounds to overtake second place. They concentrate on taking the fight to the "elites" but has stuggled recently now they're top rung. Next we have TUP, a rather old party that's been the biggest for a long time. It's boasted the most CPs including Woldy, Talon Karrde, Iain Keers etc. Third is New Era which even compared to UKPP is new, it too is taking the fight to the "elites" but has seemed to stall recently. 4th is ESO, a party founded by Jamesw and Artela that's tried to stay on the middle neutral ground. Fighting it out for 5th we have One Vision and UKRP. OV are yet another new party focusing on new players and giving them a voice, while UKRP is the oldest party in the UK that fell from grace months ago but is fighting its way back.

If there's one thing I should tell the Irish about the UK that they probably don't know it'd be that they should fight in this TW because we're not supposed to be winning it 😛

ChewChewShoe:
What is your personal opinion on Ireland?
How well connected do you feel to our community?
Is there anything you would like to change in our relations?
Would you like to see Ireland moving closer to establishing a formal alliance with the UK, perhaps even joining ACT?

Betafoxtrot:
I really like Ireland, you guys are pretty cool though I only really hang out in your IRC room 😁 I think we've both come along way in our relations - we used to basically hate each other and now our relations are rather good, and I'd certainly like to see Ireland joining ACT and getting an MPP with us!

ChewChewShoe:
How do you believe the UK's population feel towards Ireland?
Do you believe your population is generally on good terms with that of ours?
Do you think they would like to see strengthened, or perhaps weakened, relations with Ireland?

Betafoxtrot:
As I said in the previous question, our relations have been the best they've ever been and I'm sure that the population reflect my opinion and would like to see our relations strengthened further.

ChewChewShoe:
The world is getting more and more divided into alliance clusters. What is your opinion on the following alliances:
(a) TWO?
(b) CoT?
(c) EDEN?
(d) Asgard?
How would you feel towards Ireland aligning towards either of these factions?

Betafoxtrot:
a. TWO are our own alliance, so obviously my opinion of TWO is pretty high!
b. I've spent a fair amount of time with CoT members thanks to the informal CoTWO alliance we seem to be seeing. Despite the current invasion of Russia by Poland CoT have been pretty positive and understanding of what's going on and have stayed out of things to keep anyone from being upset.
c. EDEN are on their way out especially once China is hit by Poland. There's not much to say about them, I think they're not far off closing.
d. I have to admit that I don't know that much about Asgard, but they're trying to get off the ground so good luck to them.
Ultimately it's up to Ireland who they'd like to join and you couldn't be mad at them for joining an alliance. You should join ACT though.

ChewChewShoe:
Over the past few months we have seen strengthened and more organized cooperation between Colombia, Uruguay and Argentina, often referred to as CUA.
What is your personal opinion on the countries?
Within the countries, there are groups arguing for both making it a formal alliance, and those opposing it.
What is your take on that?
Would you like to see it being formalized into an actual alliance, or would you prefer it being more of a defensive pact?
How would you feel towards Ireland aligning to CUA, should it become an actual alliance?

Betafoxtrot:
It's up to CUA what they want to do. We have good friends in South America which is handy as I know there's bad blood between us and Argentina over the Falklands IRL which is rather sad, and I wouldn't doubt there's risk of it spilling over to CUA if it does form an alliance - which I don't think will happen, it'll more than likely remain a defensive pact I'd imagine. Frankly I'd be suprised if Ireland decided to align with someone so far ahead so I won't speculate on it 😛

ChewChewShoe:
Please state your preferred option.
(a) Ireland or Canada?
(b) TWO or CoT?
(c) Asgard or EDEN?
(d) Cookies or biscuits?
(e) HIV or cancer?
(f) America or anorexia?
(g) Russia or environmental hazards?
(h) BAE Systems or home made IEDS?
(i) Somali tribes or Tibetan monks?
(j) Space or water?
(k) Aluminium or cats?
(l) Me or butterflies?

Betafoxtrot:
a. Ireland of course 😛
b. Two
c. Asgard
d. Biscuits Cookies or biscuits?
e. idek
f. America
g. Russia
h. BAE Systems
i. Tibetan monks
j. Space
k. Aluminium
l. You

ChewChewShoe:
That was all, thank you very much for taking your time to answer my questions.

ChewChewShoe: Waddup mi amor.

ChewChewShoe:
Could you start by introducing yourself a little bit?
Who are you? What have you done previously in your time here in eRepublik? What, slightly more specific, are your duties as the Minister of Foreign affairs of Argentina?

FlorenciaC:
I'm Florencia. I've been president of Argentina, SG/SC of Terra, MoFA of Argentina over 20 times, etc.

ChewChewShoe:
Argentina is currently not in any alliance. If you were to forge an alliance using your fantasy, what would it be like?
What is your personal opinion on how an alliance structure should be?
How organized should the high command of the alliance be? Please be elaborative.
How closely aligned do you personally feel that the alliance members should be? In what way?

FlorenciaC:
As for now it's a little bit hasty to make Argentina join an alliance, but who knows.
In my opinion an alliance should be something tiny, strategic and well coordinated, alliances with over 9000 members never work and they end up failing really badly.
But if I was given the chance to make an alliance with whoever I wanted I'd choose Colombia, Uruguay, Turkey and Greece, since those are our 4 closest allies, and it'd be closer to a Brotherhood than an alliance due to the existing ties among us. The balance of prime-times would be really interesting (American Prime Time and European Prime Time).

ChewChewShoe:
How is Argentina functioning internally?
Could you please describe, shortly, the duties of the members of government?
Could you write a short summary of the top five major parties in Argentina?
Is there anything major going on in Argentina that you feel Ireland should know?

FlorenciaC:
Well, our internal system is quite good if you ask me. Each member has its own work, which makes it easier to take decisions. Each Ministry is communicated with the others, or at least that's what we've been trying to do.
There's nothing that Ireland doesn't know already

ChewChewShoe:
What is your personal opinion on Ireland?
How well connected do you feel to our community?
Is there anything you would like to change in our relations?
Would you like to see Ireland moving closer to establishing a formal alliance with Argentina?

FlorenciaC:
Ireland is a cool country, which has been our ally for a long long time and has proven to be loyal to us.
As for the community, I have some friends over there, I like the way eIrish people think really much.
There's nothing I'd like to change, it's perfect how it is.
About an alliance, as I said in a previous question it is a matter that hasn't been decided in Argentina, we don't want to rush into it.

ChewChewShoe:
How do you believe Argentina's population feel towards Ireland?
Do you believe your population is generally on good terms with that of ours?
Do you think they would like to see strengthened, or perhaps weakened, relations with Ireland?

FlorenciaC:
I think Argentinians like Irish in a special way due to the believes that both countries have IRL.
Yes, I do think our population is on good terms.
They'd like to keep being allies of Ireland

ChewChewShoe:
The world is getting more and more divided into alliance clusters. What is your opinion on the following alliances:
(a) TWO?
(b) CoT?
(c) EDEN?
(d) Asgard?
How would you feel towards Ireland aligning towards either of these factions?

FlorenciaC:
(a) TWO = pretty well organized alliance which has chosen its members wisely
(b) CoT = an example of "the number" makes the strength. However I think it'll end up failing due to a conflict of interests
(c) EDEN = alliance that has managed to keep standing and facing every new challenge
(d) Asgard = interesting alliance

It'd be really sad to lose Ireland as an ally, I hope the Irish gov chooses to stand by us

ChewChewShoe:

FlorenciaC:
They are our brothers, they were and they will be for a long time. Argentina is really glad to have found such great allies.
I think that to make an alliance out of nowhere and discussing aboslutely nothing (because you can't discuss about it in ony 2 days) is equal to rush into it. If an alliance is born like that it'll surely end in fail in a matter of months, or weeks

I want it to keep being a Brotherhood

ChewChewShoe:

(a) Ireland
(b) TWO
(c) EDEN
(d) BISCUITS
(e) both
(f) McDonalds
(g) Russia
(h) none
(i) somali tribes ofc
(j) space
(k) dogs
(l) you s2

ChewChewShoe:
That was all, thank you very much for taking your time to answer my questions.

Liam Tatlock:
Hello, and thanks for doing this interview to give the Irish people some more detail in what's going on outside our borders. Let's get straight on to it, then.

van Spijck:
The Netherlands currently holds two regions, with Western Netherlands being the subject of a RW at this time, but you don't currently have any MPPs. Is this a conscious decision for strategic reasons or a financial one?

We could sign a MPP, which would cost us 10k, or we use that cc to supply in case of war. We made a deal with our Chinese friends; most of our forces stay in China, and enjoy their MPP stack, so we'd have a DO every day.

Liam Tatlock:
I'm sure you'd like to see your country no longer pink and back to your ownership, but what do you think the chances of that are and where would you like to see the Netherlands in six months' time?

van Spijck:
We're trying to carefully plan our RW's, but very often we get screwed like today. Some US Federalist thought they where doing us a favour by starting a RW in West. Well, they didn't; RW's in West work like a red cloth on a bull with the pink imperialistic pigs. While RW's in SNL can stay under their rdar for a long time. 😉 All countries that help in liberating us are our natural allies imo. In 6 months we're hopefully a free country again!

Liam Tatlock:
Your population places you directly below Ireland in the ranking table (hello, neighbour). How active are your citizens and are there any plans for a baby boom as we've seen in places like Colombia?

van Spijck:
BB's are very hard to realise in NL, but we're still trying. It's also very important to try to keep those few that start every day alive. So that's something we're focussing on.

Liam Tatlock:
As I mentioned earlier, you currently have no MPPs and, like Ireland, no alliance. Would your country like to be part of one and, if so, are there any preferences?

van Spijck:
We feel no rush to join any alliance atm. Although we see Asgard as a natural ally, and are very close with CUA. Perhaps we start a new alliance once those left in EDEN finally admit it died long time ago. 😉

Liam Tatlock:
And finally, the economy in general and the Dutch one, in particular. This is something that may be linked to previous answers but is worth looking at. The world economy isn't in great shape and several countries are having to be careful with who they sign pacts with and, presumably, how they spend their income. Is the Dutch economy in a similar state and is it impacting on supplies, particularly to young players?

van Spijck:
There's practically no economy left here. Most of us are working in communes for weapons, which is the best solution for now.

van Spijck:
I hope this hasn't been too much of a chore for you. Bedankt voor uw tijd.

AUSTRALIA UPDATE

Australia currently remains a neutral nation. They have a population of around a thousand, yet close to the same number of active writers as Ireland. Currently they have 2 allies, Ireland and South Africa, but have considered China as well. At the moment they are waiting for a ruling by CoT HQ regarding the terms in which their treaty with Chile was breached. This is perhaps the most important event in Australia at the moment, delaying their government from choosing an alliance.

During Chile's occupation of Australia, Chile was to give back any Australian region that held resources Chile gained from another nation. When they gained these resources from Argentina, Chile did not give back Australia's territories. The requirement was for Australia to sign MPPs with all CoT nations, but when Indonesia stated interest to invade Australia, all CoT nations denied the MPPs. Lastly, Australia was not to start any Resistances, but foreign players fighting Chile moved to Australia to start them anyway to relieve pressure in their own nations' wars. After the treaty was breached, Indonesia, Chile, and New Zealand all invaded Australia, and currently occupy them now. Australia's closest ally in CoT, Japan, took Australia's case to CoT HQ, where they are awaiting a ruling as to whether or not CoT invaded on faulty terms, and was indeed responsible for the original breach of the treaty.

Since they have submitted the case, the nation has improved relations with a fellow neutral nation, Ireland. They have also looked at all of their alliance options while they await a decision by CoT HQ. They are interested in continuing relations with Ireland in the future.
