[MoFA] Getting to know NSPP!

Day 2,400, 06:43 Published in Netherlands Netherlands by Ministerie van Buitenlandse Za

Dear citizens of the eNetherlands,

Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wants to introduce you to the North Sea Protection Pact (NSPP) nations! We want to accomplish this via this article. The NSPP exists out of four nations, the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands and the Germarkian Union (Germany and Denmark).

This article is containing a few summarizing texts, every text is summarizing a country of the NSPP (Germany and Denmark is one summary due to their union). Each summarizing text has been written by the MoFA of the concerned country.

The first summary is summarizing the United Kingdom written by Angela Williams (Also MoFA, but not in-game).

Hello First of all I would like to say thank you for this opportunity to share about Britain.

The United Kingdom is a friendly and active community. It is one of the most diverse erepublik nations in terms of vast political beliefs. The eUK has had a strong presence in Foreign Affairs since before I started playing erepublik, this can be seen in the number of Alliance leaders that have been involved in the rich eUK community.

Our strong Foreign Affairs can also be seen in the NSPP pact where the United Kingdom joined with great friends and former enemies. The NSPP was a great achievement and was gladly accepted by most if not all eUKers. The eUK is certainly wanting to work closer with the NSPP and all member nations of the pact in the near future.

The second summary is written by Mr. Wonka, the MoFA of Belgium.

The community of eBelgium has always been a really small community but its size has begin to decrease strongly since internal struggles for power that occurred in 2011. Since then, the number of active players has strongly decreased and nowadays the number of really active players on a political point of view is much less than the number of congress seats available for the whole country. Despite that relatively small community, the citizens of eBelgium have made strong ties with other neighbor countries such as Germany, the United Kingdom (where several former citizens have gone) or the Netherlands. Both countries (NL and UK) have also "merged" with eBelgium during the early eRepublik days. Due to the strong bonds in the region the North Sea Protection Pact was signed.

Although, not an aggressive nation and usually pretty peaceful thanks to recent Foreign Affairs works over the past year the presence of the United Kingdom and Poland protecting its border, eBelgium has recently been involved in several great wars (at our scale) that were the Moldovan Aistrike against Belgium and the United Kingdom, a similar airstrike done by the Pakistan, and the current war launched by France against the United Kingdom, where eBelgium decided to launch a war to disperse damage of France.

The third and last summary is summarizing the Germarkian Union and is written by the Danish side of union, by their MoFA called ilphen!

The Union has been formed on the first of January 2012, to combine the forces of two relatively small countries. Germany has had a treaty with Poland for more than 1,5 years at that point which guarantees their existance but limits the bonus and potential to wage war.
Since Denmark had been under threat of PTO since forever it was a logical choice to give the regions to a friendly neighbour in order to deny congress and by that limit any options for potential PTO groups. We also started working really close in wars and politics, Danish citizens becoming members of the German government was pretty much standard and vice versa.
The union never failed to deny a congress when it was necessary or to allow one when it was the wish of Denmark. So even though sometimes coordination and communication could have been better, I believe it has been really good overall. This is the only union ingame that has lasted this long, which is pretty awesome and obviously will continue. Also the union allowed us to put different opinions aside and act as one.
