The UK was originally part of the ATLANTIS alliance network until its defeat and dissolution in mid 2009. In the aftermath, the UK switched to the opposing 'PEACE

The UK was then used as a land bridge to stage attacks on other nations by all alliances, most notably by Hungary in PEACE invasion of North America. The very act of switching alliances has also made the UK itself a target of ATLANTIS successor alliances '''EDEN''' and '''Brolliance''', with several unsuccessful sieges launched to wipe the country off the map. '''PEACE''' reformed into it's successor alliance Phoenix at the end of 2009, with the UK staying in that alliance network until it dissolved in early 2011.

In February 2011 the UK become a member of the successor of Brolliance, Terra from which they subsequently withdrew from in April of the same year after an unsuccessful invasion of Belgium,

Following it's withdrawal from Terra, the UK become an officially neutral supporter of the ONE alliance, which was a mix of the most powerful members of Phoenix and EDEN. It eventually joined as a full member and used this support to defeat and occasionally occupy Ireland for a few months.

However, since then, ONE dissolved on the 4th of August.

Since August 2012, the UK isn’t a member of any alliance, due to ONE dissolving

The United Kingdom has signed Mutual Protection Pacts with New Zealand, Estonia, Indonesia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Poland, Spain, Hungary, Latvia, South Korea, Sweden, Chile, Serbia, Slovenia, Lithuania, Republic of Moldova, Slovakia, Republic of Macedonia (FYROM).

Our today’s guest is..Mr Woldy!
(Q=Question, A=Answer)

Q1: Tell us more about you - who are you ingame? What did you do throughout your eLife? Also, how did you learn about eRepublik and why did you start playing it?

A1: Crikey well, currently I am King of the eUK, as I have been for around 18 months, and I am a member of the royal Dragoons, parliamentary visionary and activist as well as an active philanthropist and source of entertainment - pushing for reform in commons, running (expensive) charity schemes and generally helping people out and having a laugh. I have also been a multiple time Prime Minister of the eUK, many times a congressmen, long time Unity Party member, party president, I have been the Secretary General of a super alliance, British Representative in 4 super alliances, Quizmaster, Multiple time minister of Home affairs, Foreign Affairs and Legislative Affairs, popular publisher and the list goes on, I can't even remember everything I've done! Though I like to call myself a warmonger. I signed up to eRepublik a long time ago, lord knows why 😉

Q2: Seeing you have also served multiple terms as president, which one do you value as best? What's your proudest achievement during your terms? And, in the end, which is the thing you wanted, but didn't achieve?

A2: I think the first three were the best, that was before all these newer changes and the new military module, and the UK had an active population of over 6 thousand, generally the game was funner then and of course I attacked the USA and stripped them of a few regions, which is probably the UK's biggest gloat, and certainly one of my favourite achievements - although I would my proudest was perhaps our involvement in PHOENIX and all the fun wars I managed to drop us in >_> I cannot say however that there is something I wanted but never achieved, accept global dominance and recreating the British Empire.

Q3: Would you ever consider running for another term as CP?

A3:To be honest I only do that nowadays when everything goes to crap or a complete moron risks getting in, and only then if I have the time IRL. I'm a bit disenchanted with eRepublik so I hardly think going for CP again would be a good use of my time, I'd sooner fap or something.

Q4: You talk about being disenchanted. What is the difference between now and the time you registered? What are the positive and negative changes?

A4: Back in the golden days there were far more active people, it was just so much fun to be involved in or leading a gigantic group of citizens. The military module had all sorts of fun rules and in itself was simpler, meanign that war and strategy were actually required when planning. These days global population and activity is low, the admins never make a decent change (they used to keep us constantly updated and looked as though they cared) the military module in battles is cooler but I would say the strategies and rules of war are just boring childs play, and most of all the admins are obsessed with making us buy gold. everything they do is orchestrated in such a way as to make us spend, and I find it quite annoying.

Q5: When you first joined eRepublik, what were things you wanted to accomplish?

A5: I wanted to be a media mogul and outspoken congressmen!

Q6: How come you invaded eBelgium when you was the CP?

A6: sometimes when a country doesn't have the balls to make a decent decision you have to have fun and see if you can poke them a bit.

Q7: In that case what is your personal opinion of eBelgium? Do you know any eBelgians? Have you ever thought of coming to eBelgium, just for fun?

A7: Oh yes, I know many eDutch and Belgian players and often thought it'd be fun to visit either of those countries, I made many friends back when they were a merged country so I tend to recognise a few faces when I swing by the channels.

Q8: What do British players think of eBelgium, in your view?

A8: pretty much a non-country in the sense that it doesn't seem to do much but they have had a good working relationship with us so i guess we're chummy apart from the odd *cough cough* invasion.

Q9: Lastly, how would you describe Belgium in one word?

A9: Beige. Also can I give a shout out to ShadowUKCS, he'll always be my favourite butt.

Conclusion: I'm sure Shadow the butt will be thankful of you, Woldy.
Thank you for the interview!

Woldy: Of course he will, I am the King and you're welcome!

That’s all for now, see you soon!
