[MoFA] Entrevista a Ice Killa, CP Esloveno [PT/EN]

Apresentamos hoje mais uma entrevista realizada por um embaixador, desta vez pelo embaixador na Eslovénia, Sir Einstein.

Muito obrigado tanto ao entrevistado como ao entrevistador pela entrevista porque esta é, realmente, uma ótima entrevista.

Passando então á dita entrevista.

1. Olá, Howly! Antes de mais, gostava de te agradecer por teres aceite o meu convite para esta entrevista. Comecemos então. Poderás dizer-me como começaste a jogar eRepublik?

Podem pensar que eu comecei a jogar este jogo por volta da mesma altura que a maioria dos eslovevenos se juntaram ao nosso pequeno e próspero país virtual. Mas isso seria algo errado de assumir. Eu joguei um jogo de estratégia relativamente pequeno e no fórum desse jogo um indivíduo chamado Cerb publicou um link para o eRepublik. E ainda se torna mais interessante, ele era Presidente dos EUA e da Australia, e, até há 2 anos atrás, ele nem sabia que eu me tinha juntado ao jogo pelo seu convite - visto que me esqueci de me registar pelo referral dele.

Comecei a jogar este jogo sobre o nick de Howly e mais tarde fui banido na Revolta do eRepublik de 2011.

2. Como te descreverias a ti e à comunidade eslovena?

Isso é uma pergunta com rasteira.
Eu tendo a ser muito rigoroso com todos. Eu coloco em todos à minha volta normas muito altas, por isso podem dizer que tendo a ser um pouco perfecionista. Sou conhecido por me expressar muito diretamente sem tendência alguma para parecer soar bonito. Em outras palavras, se eu acho que alguem está a fazer um trabalho de porcaria, eu digo-lhe que está a fazer um trabalho de porcaria e explico-lhe o porquê. Claro que muitos não gostam de mim, mas acredito que alguns respeitam a minha sinceridade.

Sou um idealista de coração e acredito que a mudança é possível desde que seja desejada. Nada é impossível no eRepublik desde que pessoas da vida real criaram a base do jogo. Tu podes literalmente mudar tudo o que queiras se souberes como. Por exemplo diplomacia, se fores um mestre nisso, podes facilmente encontrar-te no lado vitorioso.

Pelo outro lado a comunidade Eslovénia pode ser muito fragmentada. Estamos polarizados em dois grupos, mas externamente tendemos em ser apenas um. Na generalidade, tenho um certo ódio a partidos e prefiro a meritocracia em liderar um país, aqueles que são bons, independentemente da sua unidade militar ou partido, terão os lugares mais altos que se adeqúem às suas capacidades.

3. Que futuro para a Eslovénia? Como todos nós sabemos, vocês têm vindo a encontrar-se com problemas diplomáticos na TWO, e eu gostava de saber o que achas que vai acontecer num futuro próximo para o teu país.

Pelo contrário, a Eslovénia não tem problemas diplomáticos nenhuns na TWO. Apenas temos um problema (disputa diplomática) com Espanha. Visto que o governo Esloveno não pode apoiar um ato de agressão sem um casus belli decente, algum tipo de apoio a Espanha, mesmo sendo da mesma aliança que nós, é moralmente inaceitável. Estou-me a referir ao ataque a Portugal.

Pessoalmente, acredito que foi para quebrar os laços CUA - TWO. Caso contrário, não existe qualquer outra explicação para um ataque ser lançado. Os espanhóis querem resolver tudo com agressões e isso é um sinal de lideres fracos e um vislumbre que pode faltar requerimentos intelectuais para liderar uma diplomacia externa.

Visto que a Eslovénia já teve esse tipo de líderes no passado comparaveis com os atuais Espanhois, e ainda têm algum tipo de influência, sei precisamente como vocês se sentem. E os argumentos que eles apresentam do porquê da Suiça (comparável com PT-ESP) estar apagada não apresentam nenhuma razão racional.

Outra coisa que gostava de notar é o facto do Chile ter decidido trair o seu aliado Peru e ocupa-lo. Suponho que o governo chileno aprendeu diplomacia com os espanhóis.

4. Esquecendo por um pouco as Relações Internacionais, poderás dizer-me quais achas que são os problemas principais da Eslovénia como comunidade e país?

O nosso problema principal será a perpétua luta interna por poder. Podes achar que uma comunidade de 700 lutadores ativos não pode ter dois polos ativos a lutar por dominação política, mas é verdade. Outro problema é que somos demasiado fracos para ser uma superpotência mundial e demasiado fracos para ficar parados quando existe uma questão importante no horizonte.

Em suma, temos qualidade, mas falta-nos quantidade em termos globais.

5. E Portugal? O que achas do nosso país?

Vocês tem uma posição geopolítica horrível. Estar rodeado por abutres como Espanha e os EUA, enquanto o único aliado que pode ativamente apoiar-vos é a Argentina que normalmente está envolvida em guerras com o Chile e o Brasil.

Considero que vocês se deveriam focar ativamente na diplomacia e em ver a vossa voz ouvida. Mas tem que ter cuidado para não se transformarem naqueles que desprezam. Sobre a vossa comunidade, eu vejo algum sentido de razão presente e já disse várias vezes que respeito certos indíviduos portugueses por ser realistas enquanto apresentam bons argumentos para isso. O Nuno Vieira é um dos meus favoritos. Ele devia definitivamente representar-vos em águas internacionais.


6. Achas que Portugal e Eslovénia têm um bom futuro juntos como amigos?

Absolutamente. Curto e simples.

7. Finalizando, o que conheces de Portugal na vida real?

Bem, eu gosto de história e o Império Colonial Português foi sempre algo que me interessou. No entanto, apenas me informei da vossa história vagamente.

Atualmente na VR apanharam uma crise económica severa e estão a urinar sangue como o resto da UE não-germanica. São famosos por bons vinhos, praias ótimas e raparigas com bigodes (sarcasmo). Há rumores de vocês serem hospitáveis também, além de serem bons em futebol.

Numa nota à parte, acho que vou ter de visitar Portugal algum dia na minha vida.

1. Hello, Howly! Firstly, I’d like to thank you for accepting my invitation for this interview. Let’s start. So could you tell me how you started to play eRepublik?

An individual might think I started playing this game around the time the majority of Slovenians joined our little, prospering virtual country. But that would be wrong to assume. I played some relatively small multiplayer strategy game and on the forum of that game an individual called Cerb posted a link to eRepublik. It gets even more interesting, he was CP of both USA and Australia, and to expand this, until 2 years ago he didn't even know I joined this game through his invite - as I forgot to register through his referral.

I started playing this game under the nickname Howly and later on got banned in the 2011 eRepublik rebellion.

2. How would you you describe yourself and the Slovenian Community?

That's a tricky question.
I tend to be very hard on everyone. I set everyone around me high standards, so one could say I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist. I am known to express myself very directly without any tendency to make it sound prettier. So in other words, if I think someone is doing a shitty job, I'll tell them they are doing a shitty job and give them an explanation why that is so. Sure, many dislike me, but I believe some respect my sincerity.

I'm an idealist by heart and believe changes are possible as long as one desires them. Nothing is impossible in eRepublik as long as people from real life create the basis for the game itself. You can literally change anything you want if you know how. For example diplomacy, if you are a master at that, you'll easily find yourself on the winning side.

On the other hand Slovenian community can be very fragmented. We are polarized into 2 groups, but externally we tend to act as one. I generally have a fond dislike of parties and prefer the meritocratic approach in leading a country, those who are good, regardless which military unit or party they are from, will get the top spots suiting their capabilities.

3. What future for Slovenia? As all of us know, you have been facing your diplomatic problems in TWO, and I’d like to know what you think will happen in a near future for your country.

On the contrary, Slovenia has no diplomatic problems in TWO. We only have a problem (diplomatic dispute) with Spain. Since Slovenian government cannot support an act of aggression without a proper casus belli, any kind of support to Spain, even if it is in the same alliance as we are, is morally wrong. I am referring to the attack on Portugal.

I personally believe the move was targeted to break CUA - TWO ties. There is no other explanation why an attack would be launched otherwise. Spaniards want to solve everything with aggression and that is a sign of weak leaders and a glimpse that someone might lack intellectual requirements to lead a foreign diplomacy.

Since Slovenia had that kind of leaders in the past comparable to the current Spanish ones, and they still have some sort of influence, I precisely know how you feel. And the arguments they present why Switzerland (comparable to PT-ESP) should be kept deleted just do not stand any rational check.

One more thing I'd like to point out is the fact Chile in the past few days decided to betray its ally Peru and occupy it. I suppose the Chilean government learned diplomacy from Spaniards.

4. So, forgetting just for a while the Foreign Affairs, could you tell me what you think are Slovenia’s biggest problems as a community and country?

Our biggest problem would be the everlasting internal fight for power. You may think that a community of 700 active fighters cannot have 2 active poles fighting for political dominance, but it does. The other thing is, we are too weak to be a global superpower and too weak to stay still when there's an important question on the horizon.

So to sum it up: we have quality but lack quantity in global terms.

5. And what about Portugal? What are your thoughts about our country?

You have a horrible geopolitical position. Being surrounded by vultures like Spain and USA, while the only real ally that can actively support you is Argentina that is in general always involved in wars with Chile and Brazil.

I believe you should actively focus on diplomacy and get your voice heard. But you must be cautious not to turn into those you despise. Regarding your community, I see there's some sense of reason present and I have stated several times I respect certain Portuguese individuals for being realistic while presenting good arguments for it. Nuno Viera is one of my favourites. He should definitely represent you in international waters.

6. Do you think Portugal and Slovenia have a good future together as friends?

Absolutely. Short and simple.

7. Wrapping this up now, what do you know of Portugal in real life?

Well, I like history and Portuguese colonial empire was always something that interested me. Although I have dwelled into your history only vaguely.

Currently in RL you are struck by a harsh economic crisis and you are pissing blood like the rest nonGermany EU. You are famous for good wines, lovely beaches and girls with mustaches (sarcasm). There are rumours you are hospitable as well, beside being good at football.

On a side note, I guess I'll have to pay Portugal a visit sometime in my life.
