[MoFA]: An introduction and an update

A Brief Introduction

Greetings eJapan.

I am Greatmoff, and I’m writing this for two purposes. The first purpose is as a brief introduction. I’m sure many of you don’t know me, however if you have been on #Nippon on IRC of late you probably will do. The second purpose is for a Foreign Affairs update.

I am a real life 22 year old British Philosophy Student. On erepublik (of which I’ve been playing for over 2 and a half years) I was born in the UK in the South East of England where I have spent most of my time. I have however just moved to Japan from Spain as I am still looking for a long term eHome since I left the eUK a few months ago.

I have been attempting to help Japan ever since this war with the Republic of China (or Taiwan) has begun both in terms of fighting and in terms of advice. I am not lacking in experience having held numerous government positions in the past. I was the MoD of Slovakia late last year and I spent 3 months consecutively from February – April as the MoD of the UK. I have also worked with other countries in international alliances (ONE).

A few days ago Nowe offered me the position of MoFA of Japan. His condition was as follows:
[00:15] I would like you to take over as MoFA.
[00:15] But I want you to understand that we are not a fighting force
[00:16] and to put the interest of Japan before the interest of ONE.

As I’m sure you’ll have already read, I have accepted the position.


On to Business

One of my primary duties will be to work on the relations between Japan and Taiwan and to work within the government to consider how we will go about ending this war.

Another of my duties is to ensure that Japan is well represented internationally through the use of ambassadors. Due to a limited manpower my aim is to try and group countries together into regions and to then try and assign an ambassador to cover that region. So far I have managed to appoint several official ambassadors of Japan and the list is as follows:

I would like to extend this list further. It is important for me that we are represented with as many countries as possible without sacrificing our attention or the quality of our work to an unsatisfactory level. I would like to arrange ambassadors for South America, Eastern Europe and North America. It is of particular importance that we are also represented with regards to our neighbours which of course includes Russia and the USA.

Final message
Whilst I am MoFA I promise to work diligently to further Japanese interests world wide. I also look forward to getting to know more of you. In order to aid communication with the public and in order to get to know you all better I’d be happy to accept any friend requests.
