[MoE] Resistance Hero medal FAQ

Fervent readers of the MoE News and Reports don't expect pictures - there are none.


* Who?

The ten fastest clickers are elected to participate in the start of a resistance war (RW). They have a fast internet connection.


* What?

If the RW succeeds, the participant earns 5 gold and a medal.


* How?

On the "Home" page - The Button may become available after multiple refreshes (F5).
- Click it.
If it is successful, your avatar appears in the gallery of participants.
When ten have gathered (could take two seconds or an hour), you get the alert: "The starting cost of the resistance movement for Region X has been gathered. Fight to liberate it!". The RW starts immediately.
(If the region is attacked in a war before 10 participants are gathered, the participation is cancelled and the 1000 CC refunded.)


* ¿What's the price, what's the prize?

Clicking the Button will substract 1000 original region country currency (CC). Ex.: to RW Brussels you need 1000 BEF, to RW London (should it be occupied) 1000 GBP.
The reward (if the battle is successful) is still 5 gold and the Resistance Hero medal on your (my) profile page.


* Where?

Move to the occupied region that you want to RW. You may also RW a foreign region if you reside there and have the CC of the original territory country.


* When?

▪ immediately after a failed RW (if no other battle is active)

▪ exactly 24 hours after the region was conquered in a 'regular' war (if no RW is active)

▪ In the event that two regions (or more) are controlled by the same invader, a RW can be started at any time from any region. You can finance a RW in a region A, but if 10 people support the RW in a region B, it will be launched first in B (as before, only one RW per attacker/defendant pair can simultaneously be active).
▪▪ If you have invested 1000 CC in the region A RW, you do not recover your money. Once the RW of region B is complete, other players can continue bidding for the RW in region A.
▪▪▪ If, during that time, a neighbouring country directly attacks the region and afterwards captures it, you will recover your down 1000 CC.


* How to ...?

... calculate the exact starting time of a RW participation:

- find the war number in which the region was conquered. If this is an active war, hover over the listing under the Wars button). For other wars, check the Military Campaigns page. Ex.: the current BE-UK NE/TW, number 6910
- open http://api.erepublik.com/v2/feeds/wars/6910 in a browser (view as xml/text)
- find the latest battle number at the bottom. 9749 was the battle for Brussels.

- find the line: 2011-08-08T05:56:16-04:00
- Add 24 hours. Substract three hours for erep time or add six hours for Belgian time. So now you know that the Brussels RW inscriptions "started" on the 9th of August at 11h56:16. The RW itself started at xxhxx (does someone have the battlefield id?) .
