[MoDa] Inform the People report (01)

Day 1,974, 00:40 Published in South Africa Australia by NyxShade

Good day eCitizens!

The Ministry of Domestic Affairs is proud to announce the first official ‘Inform the People’ report:

Presidency Report:

We are in the final stages of completing the deal regarding the goldmine. Our congress has completed their vote and we await the outcome of the Brazilian congress vote.

We have also addressed our frustrations to Brazil in terms of Indonesia being in Eastern Cape and Brazil's lack of communication regarding NE's. We are in the process of implementing ways to better communicate with one another.

NaN has been growing progressively. We are now currently at four members. Australia, South Africa, Cyprus & Malaysia. We have other interested parties that have currently applied, would like to apply, have not yet applied, but have all expressed interest. These countries are: Saudi Arabia, Czech Republic, Pakistan, Netherlands. We believe in the coming months NaN will be duly noted in the erepublik world. Watch this space as we continue to build this alliance and its effectiveness.

We have also been working hard on the political security in eSA. Whilst we face various threats, we would like to let the eSA citizens know we are working hard on reporting multiple accounts and following up on leads and intel regarding threats. Thanks to all citizens who help the country by pointing out threats.

Thanks also to Leon for speaking to the members who were running in other parties to resign from running in pp elections. This has helped make the PP elections a lot easier to monitor whilst maintaining our democracy.

eSAAF is our national military. I have appointed wilpanzer the task of assisting its reformation and efficiency. Together, with myself, Miyagiyoda, Crumoet and Wilpanzer, we will be working on some significant changes in the military to ensure it is more active and allows other MU's in eSA to easily integrate with eSAAF.

President of eSA

Ministry of Defence:

MoD Goals

- Short Term Department Goals:

MoD, for this term, is focusing on providing fair, realistic and effective daily orders. We will be following protocol by providing DOs at least once every three days. When the situation requires it we'll post more than usual. We're also tasked with updating DOs so in case the situation changes, we'll be available to change the relevant orders.

MoD will also try something new this term. We've decided to create a funding plan for campaigns and battles. This plan is specifically aimed at MUMs with no or unstable communes and more importantly, eSouth African citizens. At present, we have about 600q6 tanks, a player with 50ff will receive about 8 tanks per drop.
In addition to our short term goals:

We've created the weapons depot, but it is not yet open. The public will be informed when it'll open (it opens up during certain battles). Citizens may "pre-order" supplies though. Their supplies will be delivered in the next relevant battle.

Long Term Department Goals:

Our aim "revive the people's faith in our military", which is what we are trying to do. We will be looking at eSAAF continually to:
1. Give members a military career.
2. To communicate info relevant to eSAAF to the general public
3. To help eSAAF rebuild as an effective army. We're also looking at the prospect at a decentralized effective army. Even though we're in different MUs, we'd like to unite by synchronizing battle orders and through mass communication.

We are also involved in NaN, making sure that our military interests are also looked after.

Progress:
DOs are posted

As for the long term progress, it's going to take some time.

Ministry of Domestic Affairs:

So far we are trying to gather as many reports as we can and keep the citizens as informed as possible. With the release of this article we hope that this idea is coming to life.

There is a plan for a new direction in the Request a Mentor program as soon as we have more details we will release a separate article with regards to this. Henock will be fronting this new program.

Department of Births & Immigrations:

Since Sunday 59 new citizens have been born in eSouth Africa 33 of these were permanently banned by admin.

Since Sunday no new citizenship applications have been accepted by congress, one has been approved by us but so far no citizenship. We've declined one application and let a few expire due to no replies from the applicant or misunderstandings from the applicant's side.

Rico Suave

Ministry of Security:

The MoS is mainly busy in the background as usual 🙂 Our main task is to ensure the security and stability of eSA. While accusations fly back and forth, we have to do our best to try determine and manage real PTO threats 🙂

We cannot go into too much detail on our operations but can report that we are in the process of getting the new National Intelligence Agency (NIA) fully operational, and working on streamlining and improving operations within the NIA and the Department of Births and Immigration.

The goal for the end of the term is to have the NIA fully operational with the main task of screening new births and new immigrants (including the reporting of multi accounts), and to have a new streamlined immigration procedure in place.

We have a great team that will continue to do their best to ensure the stability and security of our country by monitoring new births, screening new immigrants, and helping ensure the stability of elections.

Ministry of Finance:

- Short Term Department Goals:
The ministry of finance short term goals are the day to day running of finance. That includes collecting rent from eBrazil, allocating funds to departments where requested and for this term keeping an eye out on our portion of the mining profits to be collected once the mine runs out.

Long Term Department Goals:

The long term goals of the department are to manage the countries reserves and to not overspend. We had money stolen so it is vital for the department to care for what reserves we have. The department is nto trading on the money market at present due to the weakness of the economy. Further long term goals are concerned with watching the local markets and adjusting taxes as necessary to help protect local producers and ensure government gets some income (note the days where this was simple are long past). The MUST funded program continues to run well and helps keep our soldiers supplied.

- Progress on ST & LT Goals:

Need to check if rent has been paid (Gambit if not please attend due by the 15th though within the week is ok). Gold will be collected by end of the gold mine. Most terms we manage to keep within budget even though our earnings are limited these days. Taxes appear to be stable and we do occasionally make adjustments based on in-game changes. MUST program is of help keeping the costs of weapons down though we could always do with some extra money invested in weapon raw material companies. Due to budget limitations and the economy crashing we are currently not investing any further.

- Department News:

Gambit LeBeau is running for his second term as MOF and Crumoet has returned to the department as DMOF in an advisory role.

Minister of Finance

Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

Ambassador

One of the first things we did this term was setup the ambassador program again. This hasn’t been done the last couple of terms. At the moment we have 8 ambassadors who are all very active and most of them already have posted reports about their assigned countries. We hope to get more ambassadors signed up and keep the ambassadors that we have active and keep a steady flow of reports and information about the countries with a ambassador going.

NaN

Recently Malaysia was added as a trial NAN member, the alliance is currently working on finding more suitable countries who are willing to become a member of NaN. This term NaN wants to grow and became a stronger alliance. Currently countries are being contacted and considered for becoming a member of NaN

MPP’s

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently working on renewing our current MPP’s. We are also looking into new MPP. We are seeing what countries would be a good choice and if it is financially doable to have more MPP’s then we currently have. MPP proposals will most likely be proposed to congress soon.
