[MoD] News and Some Updates

Day 1,210, 23:23 Published in Japan Japan by exReality

It’s been a long week for most of us. Fortunately, during this week we were able to accomplish a good amount of what has been part of our agenda. From the looks of things, it looks like our military budget is going to pass, which is a huge landmark step towards organizing and improving our military. We are also able to now distribute tanks/food/raw materials much more efficiently because of the new changes which were implemented yesterday. However at this moment the amount of raw materials/tanks/foods we have in our war chest greatly exceeds the cap of a thousand, so I hope the amount of base storage will be changed by the time the update becomes permanent. I dislike some parts of this new update, but I believe the unified storage is a refreshing change.

With the official re-launch of the military, we decided to implement new systems such as the “participation sheets”. Basically the participation sheets (ps) will give the unit leaders a good idea of how active his or her soldiers are. The more active the solider, the more responsibilities the soldiers will hold (like leading units, distributing weapons and such). Unit leaders will have access to sheets and it will give them information about the soldiers and their activity, their time-zone, and how often they’ve participated in Japan’s military operations. Unit leaders will be expected to routinely submit reports to the sheets so it would constantly have accurate and updated data. Also look forward to getting pmed by your unit leader regarding your time zone and such, so we can efficiently gauge your activity time and assign battles accordingly.

On a similar topic, The JIA was involved in some interesting battles this past week. The Battle of Hamyong between the China and North Korea used much of our military’s forces. This battle initially began with China’s accidental attack of North Korea’s Hamyong. China’s attack endangered our opportunity to secure a +75 str bonus for all citizens of Japan. If China had won the battle we would have to wait at least another sixteen hours for the resistance war to finish and another twenty-four hours for the NE vote to pass. This would have left us a very small window of opportunity to obtain the bonus as opposed to three days we had currently since we won the battle. These thoughts sparked our intervention in the North Korean battle. Initially we entered the battle with China already grasping six wins with NK holding none, but with much effort from our military and a group of allies, after fighting for approximately sixteen hours, we emerged victorious. This battle alone illustrated the rationale behind having a sound budget and an organized, active military at our disposal. Similar problems will arise in the future and we should be prepared to meet them. With a domestic crisis successfully avoided, we can now concentrate on participating in PANAM operations.

Anyways, I would like to briefly cover some other points.

1. We need five or so people to sign up for our tank company. Our tank company provides competitive market wages and you would be doing the country a favor, by increasing our inventory. So PM me(exReality), Squibeel, or Alfred Ball if you want to join the company.

2. We will be bringing back the Citizen’s Order of the Day to outline important battles citizens should fight in (if there is any). No food/tanks will be provided to citizens that are unaffiliated to the military but these battles are of significance to Japan, so you should be fighting in them anyways. If you want food/tanks, we stress organization, so sign up for the military and be part of a cool community. This brings me to my third point:

3. Sign up for the military! We have plenty of space open and we would like to greatly expand. We will be focusing in PANAM campaigns. 0-999 STR citizens should PM Fried Rice, 1000-1799 should PM Lexutza, and 1800+ should PM me or Squibeel.
