Hello there great Military members! As some of you might have noticed, there has been, among other things, an impeachment of Kevy as well as some replacements throughout command and the Ministry of Defence. Myself, along with Frerk (Hermano 4 lyfe), are now the Co-Ministers of Defence, tasked with leading and forming the greatest fighting force known to man, of which you will be a part of!

Now, before you ask, I know you take a lot of pride in the job you do, and many of you do it well. We have had some problems, however, in the current system, as it's a bit over-complicated, too much to handle in an online game, and has too many levels of leadership to a point where most of you probably don't even know what they do. To be honest, we're not entirely sure what the OR ranking system was for to begin with, but never fear! We're going to fix that by going "You're not in the military in real life, therefore you do not need an OR rank to hit the fight button"!

So, we're going to make some minor/major changes, depending on your viewpoint, to streamline the military, and make it easier to get the proper supplies to those who want and need them, to help you fight as much as you can, to help us (the country) look goo-, I mean do well. So, without further ado:

Regarding the Air Force, while it's nice to have it, it's not much more than a token name. We only really need 2 branches, to determine how each of you get supplies, and Navy/Army have been around longer, and are generally more well known. Therefore, we're going to move away from having "an air force", and move troops into two units.

The British Army: The British Army will be the main branch of soldiers, and will be IRC supplied. You can come to a supply room each day, and request supplies. We'll be using a tiered system for supply, based on your influence per hit, in regards to weapons, and will hand out as much food as you can eat (up to 320 per day).

The Royal Navy: Much like it used to be a long time ago, the Navy will be non-IRC supplied (auto supplied each morning), but it will have a lower supply. We will auto supply food only, and you can either go to IRC to request weapons, or request them via PM. Anything not done on IRC will receive a maximum of 3 weapons, however. This is to ensure that our supplies are being used as efficiently as possible.

UK Special Forces:

The Elite Forces, and Special Forces, will be combining into one unit, which is entirely IRC supplied.

Using Your Supplies:

For non IRC strikers, you'll be directed to the MU Shout for where you are fighting, or forum orders (either one works). For IRC strikers, once you receive your supplies, you'll be directed to the fight room, which will have CO's from every branch and the MoD's/Deputies, who can then direct you to the current battle. We'll use this system to run strikes every half an hour, from 6 PM to 9 PM BST/GMT, to apply damage where we need it most.

Communes/Work Assignments: We're still in the process of re-aligning work assignments, although I don't expect them to change a bunch.



Now, for those of you who wish to change units (as in, if you want to be in Navy and not request on IRC, but are currently in Army), then that's fine. We're more than happy to move everyone to where they want to be based on the supplies they want or need. All you need to do is talk to the CO of the unit you current belong to. We're going to make this as simple, streamlined, and efficient as possible so that each of you feels just as comfortable as possible.

We have had some command changes over the last few days, and we're still getting everyone into their new offices, so give them a bit of time before you make their lives miserable. The new CO of the Navy is Joe Rooke, taking over from Thorrold who resigned a bit ago, and the new CO of the Army is Sir Mic. We'll be spending the next several days moving people around in the MU's, and getting people adjusted to their new roles.

Also, as a side note, with the new introduction of Military Orders in the Military Units, we'll be starting to update your specific orders there, which then reward you with candy bars, blow, and bazookas (OK, maybe not blow, but it'd be nice). Please make sure we're all getting to the right MU's, and following orders, so we increase damage as a result.
