Join the new world

Lots of pictures in this article, but first text. I would like as many citizens as possible to turn up tonight at 1200 sever/eRep time. You should have full health. You will all receive 7 x Q7 weapons as a reward/bribe for your participation.

We are doing this in order to try and show our alliance and MPP friends that we are a force to be reckoned with, that we can coordinate a strike, and that our voices should be heard at the negotiating table.

First of all, we'll need you to join IRC. Now, as you all know, I am not the most technically gifted person on eRepublik, but if I can do this, we all can. The reason why we choose to use IRC is that it is the only way we can coordinate a strike. Only IRC gives the field commander the opportunity to say Division 1 strike now while holding the other divisions back. So please give it a go.

Mibbet is the easiest IRC to use in my opinion. So get onto the site and fill in the details you see below. Pick Rizon IRC from the checklist, pick your name (preferably your eRepublik toon name or something close to it) and pick #IrishArmy as the channel you want to join.



Now, you'll be on the right channel here:



If you want to pick up your weapons you should do the following: On your eRepublik page click on your name or your avatar. You will then have a direct link to your eRepublik character on your browser bar like mine here: (http://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/5461588). Cut & Paste this into the chat box in IRC and the supply officer will send you your weapons.

Please note that this will be logged. If you then head off without fighting this will be a black line under your name and you may never get supplies again. So now you need to be patient. Hang around and chat. At that stage the Commander in the Field will have made a decision about what battlefield we will fight on, and now we enter into a situation where we have no control of.

You see, we can't know how a campaign or battle is going to go. What we do know is that tonight there will be a myriad of campaigns ongoing down to the current political and alliances situation. So the likelihood is that you may be called into duty fairly quickly, but please take into account that you might have to wait around for an hour or so.



Take the picture above. So you all know the basics don't you? Need 1800 to win a battle regardless of division. 83 points to win a campaign. 5 points for D4 and 3/2/1 points for divisions 3/2/1.

But there are two other elements we need to take into account. The first is the most important. At any time that the bar(wall) is over 55% in our favour, any additional damage/influence is pretty much irrelevant. This is the single biggest factor in why you need to coordinate damage.

The second element is that the further we get into the battle, the faster the points tick over. So that is why we tend to wait for up to an hour into the battle before we strike. Please take this into account. In the picture below you can be sure that the timing is now ideal:



So, let's recap. Turn up at 1200 server time or slightly before. Join the IRC channel. Say hello. Give your profile link and get your weapons. Wait around and chat, and wait until the Commander gives the call for your division and announces the strike. Do your damage (it would be nice if you confirmed what you did in chat as in 345,000 damage etc), then say goodbye or hang around.

Easy.

If this is even moderately successful, we'll make it a regular.
