Mateloos irritant natuurlijk, als je net begint met spelen, je hebt wat goud hebt gespaard en dan komen er artikelen uit die je vertellen dat je het niet moet uitgeven. Is ook irritant. En het zijn allemaal leuke speeltjes, die damage boosters, rockets en bombs, maar zolang jij nog elke cent moet omdraaien is het helaas niet slim om hier je geld of goud aan uit te geven.
In 5 artikelen heeft het Ministerie van Coaching de 5 slechtste investeringen die je als beginnende speler kan doen voor je op een rij gezet. Wil je ze allemaal nog eens nalezen, dit is de top 5 van slechte investeringen (met link):
1. health kits en energy bars
2. damage boosters - zelfs met 50% korting
3. rocket companies
4. wapenproductie
5. voedselbedrijven
De enige echt slimme investering? Investeer in je training ground!
Rijk worden is een kwestie van trainen. Letterlijk! Het meeste rendement haal je uit je training grounds. Elke keer trainen in je gratis training ground levert je 5 strength points (SP) op. Plus 1 bonus point per dag en 5 bonus points op de 5e dag. Na elke 250 SP krijg je een Super Soldier medal (= 5 goud). Na 36 dagen heb je 251 punten bereikt. Omgerekend 5 goud / 36 dagen = 0,13 goud per dag.
Upgrades van je training grounds zijn net zo duur als companies (wacht ook op de 44% discounts). Maar... je wordt daardoor niet alleen sneller sterk maar ook sneller rijk! Na je eerste upgrade krijg je +5 SP per dag en haal je je volgende SS medal na 22 dagen. Je verdient 5 goud / 22 dagen = 0,23 goud per dag. Je winst is 0,10 goud (omgerekend 35 NLG) per dag. Na de tweede upgrade (weer +5/dag extra) duurt het 14 dagen. Ofwel 5 goud / 14 dagen = 0,36 goud per dag. Je winst is 0,24 goud per dag (85 NLG).
Spaar dus je goud zoveel mogelijk op tot er een volgende 44% discount voorbij komt!

Incredibly annoying of course, starting out as a new player, finally having some gold in your pocket, and then these articles come out telling you not to spend it. True thing, that is annoying. And they are fun toys, these boosters, rockets and bombs. But as long as you have to turn every penny before spending it, it really is not smart to spend your money or gold on them.
In 5 articles the Ministry of Coaching created a list of the worst investments for you as a starting player. If you want to read them back, here you can find the top 5 of bad investments (with links to articles):

The one really smart investment? Invest in your training ground!
Becoming rich is a matter of training. Literally! You do get the most effect from your Training Grounds. Every time you train in your free training ground you get 5 strength points (SP). Plus 1 bonus point every day and 5 bonus points on the 5th day. After 250 SP you get a Super Soldier medal (= 5 Gold). After 36 days you earned 251 SP. Converte😛
5 gold / 36 days = 0.13 gold a day.
Upgrading your training grounds costs the same as upgrading your companies (Always wait for the 44% discounts). But... with upgrading your training grounds you not only get stronger, but also rich faster! After your first upgrade you get +5 SP a day and you get your next Super Soldier already after 22 days. You earn 5 gold / 22 days = 0,23 gold a day. Your profit is 0,10 gold (converted 35 NLG) a day. After the second upgrade (again +5 strength /day extra) it only takes 14 days to get a Super Soldier. Or 5 gold / 14 days = 0.36 gold per day. Your profit is 0.24 gold per day (85 NLG).
So, save as much gold as you can, and wait till the next 44% discount!

Once you have upgraded your first training ground fully, you should start on the second one.
The first training ground offers +20 strength. 250/20 = 12.5 days training for 5 gold.
The second training ground offers +10 strength on top of that. 250/30 = 8.3 days training for 5 gold.
The second one costs 0.19 gold per day, so 1.577 gold every 8.3 days. This means every 8.3 days you earn 3.423 gold.
5/12.5 = 0.4 gold per day with only the first training ground.
3.423/8.3 = 0.4124 gold per day.
You earn (slightly) more money, while also getting +10 strength per day.
The third one adds +20, but costs 0.89 gold per day. All combined, this would be +50 strength per day. 250/50 = 5 days training for 5 gold. In total this costs you (0.19+0.89)*5 = 5.4 gold. This means you're running at a loss of 0.4 gold every 5 days, but instead gain +20 strength.
Using the fourth instead of the third adds +40 strength, but costs 1.79 gold per day. Combining the first, second, and third, you'd earn +70 strength per day. 250/70 = 3.57 days of training for 5 gold. In total this costs you (0.19+1.79)*3.57 = 7.07 gold, so you're running at a 2.07 gold every 3.57 days loss.
Therefore, once you have upgraded your first and second training ground, you can start acquiring raw material buildings. If I'm not mistaken, the 35 gold ones are worth most for their cost right now. Acquire a few, then save up for higher quality weapon facilities. Getting a food facility isn't very profitable, but it's less of a hassle to obtain your own food rather than buying it.
Once you have enough income from raw/weapon sales to accomodate that 0.4 gold loss every 5 days (and a bit extra), you can start upgrading your third training grounds. But by then, you have played this game for quite some time and stuff has likely changed already, unless you buy gold. In that case, you can do whatever you like 🙂
Oh, this doesn't take the +1 strength/day and +5 every fifth day into account, because it was too much of a hassle to add that.
