[MoC] Plans for the coming term

Day 1,478, 11:48 Published in Ireland Ireland by The Irish Community

Hello all, as you will know by now Anthony Colby has left the MoC after a long and enormously successful stint to lead a quiet e-life for a while. I think it goes without saying that all Irish citizens are incredibly grateful for his hard work and dedication to the Community, and I can only hope that myself and future ministers can live up to the high standard set by him.

This article is really just to set out my plans for the month, to let you all know what will be happening.

Community Awards
The previous round of Community Awards have concluded and as soon as the banners have been made up I will publish the full list of winners and send out the prizes. After this we can take nominations for the next round, which may be an awards for the year instead of the month, as we are in the twilight of 2011. I will be using a Google form to take nominations and votes for winners, as it is easy to keep track of and won't require signing into any forums, which I know some citizens are adverse to.

Community Lotto
This month I will hold two lotteries, one for Christmas and one for the New Year. Again numbers will have to be submitted via a Google form, for the same reasons as the Awards. I will give the full details in a separate article, but there will be a special festive prize bonanza, 🙂

Community Opinion Polls
I will be aiming to do opinion polls before the next Dáil and Presidential elections. There will be topical questions and also those regarding your general level of satisfaction with how things were run, (credit to AC for this idea). If anyone has suggestions for polls on any other topics then feel free to pm them to the Irish Community.

These are the three main focuses of the ministry this month, but if anyone has any ideas or suggestions for extra activities I'd love to hear them

Minister of the Community,
