[MLJ] Interview with Lord Julian - Basis behind his bill proposal AC-130
Lord Julian Moretti
I'm no rocket scientist, or mathematician. I'm no philosopher or great explorer. But what i am is a guy who cares about making sure people in my Country have the means to be able to live.
My reasoning to raise minimum wage from a pathetic 1.2 to 10 is simdple; i want to boost the economy slowly from the bottom...
If people can afford 34 a day then we can can make the minimum 10.
Sure it might be a bit tough for the first week but as market rates get accustomed, (depending on updated taxes) things should work out better as people have a bit more to spend. The more one makes, the more one can be taxed and put back into the treasury.
That's my a2+b2=c2 of the economy.
But fine.... people wanna live like this in 33 place forever... be my guest.
If you see a problem with my logic, do tell, although spiteful comments will be removed ASAP.

If people want more they can just take the job paying 20 CAD
the 1.2 is for slave pits, crummy salary in exchange for weapons, you still win in that situation.
By having minimum wage at 10 CAD, you are negatively affecting long standing formulas for slave pits / communes.
There are currently lots of jobs at, or above 10 CAD/day.
Therefore, your proposal doesn't help anyone ... it will create problems for commune/slave pits (needing to re-evaluate supplies), and not change a single thing for maximum wage / quality job offers.
I have already explained why this would fail, on top of that you did not even do the 24 discussion before proposing it
Communes is the biggest one.
Working for 1.2 then getting 5 Q7 or so tanks per day in exchange.
These people are making 50 - 80 CAD per day.
if you raise the min wage it will destroy this system we have in place.
"...making sure people in my Country have the means to be able to live."
There are plenty of job offers above $10 right now, how is raising minimum wage to $10 achieving your goal? Your proposal actually HURTS the people who choose to live on a barter arrangement whereby they work in a commune for minimal cash and accept in-kind payments of Q7 tanks and food.
If your goal is to increase tax revenues, this will achieve your goal...
...the question then becomes, does the social program that is created by this additional tax revenue create a benefit that offsets the cost/damage of impairing every single commune in eCanada? What impact would this have to eCan's ability to deliver influence in battles if the communes disappear?
Send him to the slave pits!
I don't care about slave pits or loop holes... i care about my countrymen. Fine, have it your way people...
can someone tell me how long it is until you are an adult citizen?
@AFCGooner A mission shows up eventually and you complete it to become an adult citizen. None of us had to do it, so we don't know, just keep doing your missions until you get it.
"I don't care about slave pits or loop holes... i care about my countrymen. Fine, have it your way people..."
A lot of your countrymen want Slave Pits to stay around so that our Military Forces don't crumble. Start caring for them a bit more cautiously.
@AFCGooner. you need to reach level 50 strength and then click the muscle man icon in missions and then you will officially be an adult and get to play with the big boys
