[Miss eWorld] Shame on you!
Dalze
The "Miss eWorld" seems to be an official eRepublik thing right now and I just cant believe it! In a time where beauty contests are getting more and more rare along with the sexistic values more and more dissapears. Common people nowadays understand the disgrace theese competitions are, no matter how hard you try to call it "tradition" or aomething else...
Second of all, I will never take this fight in communities where this values are accepted. Gossip press etc etc. But this is a political game, a game where theese values are far, far away. If individual players chooses to do something similar, I say sure, thats your choice. I dont support it but you do what you want.
Its a whole other story when eRepublic admins accept this and make it an official competition. Its shamefull in many ways.
Please, give me back my political game where I can at least pretend that I am making som difference...

agree, contest is totally unnecessary
Boobs!
I agree. There are alot of minors in this game.
That the owners tell em it is okey to objectify women are disgraceful. For shame.

Funnily enough, posting an article about it just gives it more publicity. Which would go quite much against the point of the article.
It is better to simply ignore it and/or contact admin directly.
I know, i couldnt resist lordkrall! Shame on me to!
Fool me once, shame on... shame on you. Fool me... You can't get fooled again.

If you think it's disgraceful to women, ask those who sent their pics to compete then...
But I agree that making it kinda "official" is nonsense.
No boobs - No vote!
Kudos, excellent article. I noticed that it's gone from our front page, today. Finally!
Link the pics? I missed this whole thing
Good to see I'm not the only one who didn't like it! Like you said, anyone who wants to can start a contest like that. But admins have other interests. They should provide a safe environment for everyone and promoting this sexist contest that objectifies women is contrary to that objective.
