[Liberty] The MU's Back In Town

Day 1,793, 03:09 Published in United Kingdom Canada by Irv Noyb

A note from the Commander:

It is a sad reality for everyone in Liberty (and possibly for many outside of the MU, as well) that our original Commander and founder, Max Blue, ePassed-away some time ago. He was succeeded by his trusted second, eLiam, who, unfortunately, found himself in a position where he had to leave Liberty to, it must be said, take on far more important duties.

This has left the MU in the hands of the remaining ‘Libertarians.’ As a long-time member of this community I have been wanting to see this place return to its former self and, now being in a position to do so, I wish to begin this process by putting Liberty back into the public eye, as the MU’s second in Command, Pat Harper, has already been hard at work doing.

That said, one of our objectives is recruitment of new members, which I hope this article will also help achieve. Please enjoy the read and have a fluffy day!

What is Liberty all about?
Having fun in a free and open community where each member has a say in all aspects of the unit, while not catering to any political group or ideology!
Here are the more notable aspects of the MU:

Main Features:

- Fights for the UK, her allies and neutral nations.

- Is not connected to any political party.

- Every member matters and everyone has a voice.

- Is relaxed, yet well organised.

- Rewards members for achieving new military ranks.

- Offers daily supplies to any member who requests them.

Other Features:

- Allows members to work for companies not affiliated with the military unit (which means members can have independent salaries and still receive their MU supplies).

- Uses the military unit feed as the primary method of communication and Internet Relay Chat (IRC) as secondary.

- Caters for all levels of player from the experienced, to the newbie, highly active, to the 2-clicker.

Operations:

Whenever the need for a particular push in a war arises Liberty launches a campaign to either protect an ally/neutral nation, or to fight to free an occupied region or regions.

Liberty represents the UK abroad, and hopes to raise the profile of the nation, while making friendships, having fun and pushing against forces hostile to the UK.

Supplies:

Supplies in Liberty come in the form of supply packs which are issued once per day to any member who requests them. The supply pack mechanics are simple:

- Every day a Supply Pack thread for that particular day is opened in the MU feeds.

- Each member is allowed to request for a supply pack once in each thread.

- Each member who does so will receive 4 Q6 weapons and 200 health.

- The following day, the previous thread will be closed and a new one will be started in its place, restarting the cycle.

Members are also free to request extra supplies in case they are in dire need, though it might not be possible to answer all of these requests if supplies are strained.

As a new feature, Supply Packs will be augmented during key calendar dates, including Halloween, Christmas, New year & Easter, as well during ‘Summer Special’ seasons. The contents will be kept as a surprise, but trust us, they’ll be big 😉

Bonuses and benefits:

Bonuses:

In Liberty there are two bonuses; the captaincy bonus, and the ranking up bonus.

The captaincy bonus: each person elected a Captain in the MU elections on the 15th of the month (every month) gets a bonus of 10 Q7 weapons.

The ranking up bonus: each time a player ranks up and posts their new rank in the MU area they will get a bonus of 5 Q7 weapons.

Benefits:

Resistance war support: Liberty helps allies of the UK as well as the UK organise resistance wars in occupied regions. Members can organise resistance wars in the MU area, and once a target is agreed on and multiple members support the resistance war the unit will focus on this RW and issue supplies to aid in the success of the RW. If successful, this gives our members 5 Gold and a RW Hero medal as well as liberating regions.

Community support/advice: is available to everyone in the MU area, where advice is only ever a post away, and regular members give to new members in need of some extra help.
