Dear fellow citizens,
As I write this the President of Germany pushes a small, harmless looking, red button.
At once, this will release hell onto our streets! German barbarians are going to ravage our lands and pillage our cities!
But here's the silver lining: you can fight them and collect valuable training experience for the next "real" war!
Here are the instructions:
1. Read this article.
2. Buy weapons. I put Q1 weapons on sale for 25 ATS. If you can't afford that, let me know and I might be able to donate some to you.
3. Move to either Lower Austria (Q3 hospital), Salzburg (Q4 hospital), or Schleswig-Holstein (Q5 hospital). If you don't have a moving ticket and can't afford buying one I might be able to donate you one.
4. Join the fight on the defending side.
5. Be aware that if you move into a battle region you will become a German citizen once Austria retreats from the battle.
6. In order to minimize disruptions to our economy you should try to return to a region (if only temporarily) that allows you to keep your current job.

OK, so actually it was me who pushed the button... but only to trigger Germany's MPPs with Hungary, Brazil, Turkey, and Portugal.
Especially the Brazilians are taking advantage of this training opportunity. They've already logged 208 fights. I hope in exchange they are going to share in the expense of this war!

Get your slacking eCitizen body to a region with a functioning hospital and you can get Wellness back after fighting, 10 Wellness per Hospital level. If you only fight a number of times equal to the Hospital level, you can end up no worse than when you started!
Maybe this would be off topic, but it is highly related to this newly forming union. My opinion is that all Austrian political leaders should join together in one party - Austrian Party. and this should be done ASAP. Maybe even before first congress election. Our numbers are not even close so high that we could afford more than one party.
Torgo. It is impossible to fight in battle if wellness is lower that 40. I have 29 now.
btw - I have Q2 gift in my inventory. I am willing to make a gift for gift deal to increase wellness. anyone? PM

Please note that France is under attack from Spain, and Hungary has an MPP with them as a fellow PEACE member. So most of the Hungarians are defending France in a real war, not participating in this training opportunity.
This is wrong, Austria should not become part of Germany, it should not be another Auschluss. I will not stand for it
@ TheRaven - We had lots and lots of debate on this topic last week and quite a few rogue elements from other countries sticking their noses in. At this point you can assuage your conscience by grabbing a weapon and heading to the frontier.

Aren't the eGermans supposed to take us? Why fight against them?
We needed to attack one of their regions so their protection pacts with Hungary and so forth would be 'activated'. To allow these guys to train, you know.
