[Justice TemujinBC] Rolo casts deciding vote, saves Canada from 100k debacle
TemujinBC
Greetings fellow eCanadians (and other bros, panpas, maho, peder serko, and culo)
Let it be known that Rolo Tahmasee, Canadian Hero and Legend, has spared Canada from a rather embarrassing situation. As can be seen from the proceeding link, congressperson Donna Rush had proposed to sent a significant amount of CAD from the treasury to the Ministry of Finance org
This 6-time congressperson, apparently high on crack and drunk on moonshine, proposed this donation to an org which the government has no control over. In fact, no one has had any control over this org for at least two and a half years.
Nonetheless, Canada Hero and Legend Rolo Tahmasee held his vote, and has cast the deciding ballot for Great Justice and with Epic Castiness. After all the hardship, after all the name calling, after all the hostility - at the end of the day when Canada was facing an embarassing loss of 100k CAD, Rolo did our nation right. As can be seen here:
Rolo cast the 21st vote, which secured the CAD in the treasury as opposed to in an inaccessible org.
It is no secret that I have strongly supported a final resolution to the "Rolo Case" in the Supreme Court. It is long past time that we put this entire thing to bed and move on as a nation. As a community. As a group of friends. The events which occurred in the past have handcuffed our nation, made us a laughing stock, helped reduce morale and activity to all-time lows, and fertilized the derp garden that we are harvesting today.
Here's hoping we can all turn a page, and stop isolating Rolo and treating him as an outcast.
Far better to have a Canadian Hero and Legend that actively participates in our camp.
Hugs and Kisses,
TemujinBC

Hugs and Kisses.

200k out of the hands of our soldiers GG

3 actually. And the 50k from Derek Harland 1000 days ago.
Whoever caught the mistake this time should get a reward if we ever recover that money I think.

We should not congratulate Rolo for being a good boy.
It should be expected of him.
I loled. Rolo gets credit for NOT screwing us over intentionally. Which is, incidentally, a good thing : P But I thought it was the expected norm... ; )
glad to see this didnt carry onto another loss for our soldiers.
But i have to ask, why does this happen at all. dont we have a link stored somewhere of the place we should ALWAYS be donating too? rather than searching for it or whatever happened to make this get so far as to have it happen multiple times.
"We should not congratulate Rolo for being a good boy.
It should be expected of him."
The point being that it is long past time that we got over all this sh*t and moved on.
Hence why there will always be fools to rob blind
I'm not a fool, Saltydog.
This insanity has been going on for over a year, and what has it solved? Sweet nothing.
Sure, the game sucks and activity suffers as a result, but the fact remains that this Rolo situation has dragged the entire country down.
Time to move the f*ck on.
Are we counting that 100K CAD credit towards the 6K Gold at:
a) today's current exchange rate
or
b) the exchange rate circa Day 1000
Creating an Option C of meeting somewhere in the middle would be a ridiculous compromise.
Just to be clear, everyone does realize the bar is being lowered on good behaviour to meet someone who's only willing to go half-way, right?
Personally I'm open to the possibility
This isnt about meeting halfway. This isn't about lowering a bar. This isn't about compromise, or "options"
It's about reality and moving the f*ck on.
The events which occurred in the past have handcuffed our nation, made us a laughing stock, helped reduce morale and activity to all-time lows, and fertilized the derp garden that we are harvesting today.
____________
True. Example: the honest congressmen who voted this measure down get no credit at all. The player who asks for a pardon in return for maybe doing the right thing is hailed as a hero. The potential loss of 100,000 CAD is justifiably seen as a problem. Voting to give a player a gift of 6,000,000+ CAD is considered reasonable. We are a laughingstock because we continue to discuss these kinds of things as within the realm of plausible, and our President can't decide or discriminate - choosing to rationalize instead.
Tem, don't be silly. You fall under the category of people that have historically benefited from moving on (free temujinbc). That has benefits, but it also implies costs. One of the costs of "moving on" (which can really be read as revising history + forgetting the annoying truth) is that mistakes will continue to be made even when easily prevented. Mistakes like trusting the wrong people.
It's reasonable
Eighth-way, really.
Shouldn't Canadian actives be much more concerned that half of this Congress is apparently suffering from a touch of the stupid?
Every time this happens, I feel sadness.
@Jacobi
Sadness or pity?
No one is forgetting the truth, except those who already deny it.
Perhaps you read it that way, Dog, but don't project that doo-doo on me.
Mellors, no one is ignoring the honest congressmen here. But the deciding vote was cast by Rolo.
If 20 congresspersons in Canada cannot even recognize a false org from a legit one.... well, truly we need more Rolo style game players in congress.
Heroic button-clicking, indeed.
Half of Canadian congress is, indeed, stupid.
That org has been blackballed for two f*cking years, and a 6-time congressperson proposes the donation.
WTF.
You can't rationalize your way out of looking like a dumdum on this one Tem. Just calling it as I see it
Only 6?
I counted 8 Congress Medals and 2 months
I'll be happy for us as friends and as a country when me makes amends by repaying what he stole.
Until then friends don't steal from friends.
Time to cut all this crap indeed and settle a repayment from someone who built an empire off the nations coffers.
At least Donna can use her drinking problems and nymphomania as an excuse...what about the other 19 !!!
Saltydog, I'm not a dumdum, and this isn't a faulty rationalization. Nor is it cognitive dissonance.
Fact: The Rolo situation is over a year old and yet to be resolved.
Fact: Rolo continues to find ways of influencing eCanadian life (ffs he won the presidency after the theft !!!)
Fact: He's more active on IRC than the average congressperson
Fact: He's helped eCanada more than a small amount on at least two occasions in the past month.
We cannot change the past, and we cannot make him go away (the punishment he received in-forum is clearly meaningless).
The only dumdum here is the one that stubbornly refuses to let it go. Speaking as one that has invested a shitton of money in this silly game, I should be more butthurt than the average player is about Rolo's theft. Sure, it stings that he can train like a madman, work in tons of "free" companies, and profit continually from his nefarious deed. It doesn't change the facts I listed above. I want him to return the gold and make amends, but if he won't, then I'm not going to act like he doesn't exist. Nor will I bury my head in the sand and pretend that he brings no value to the community.
Hugs and Kisses.
Mistakes happen Tem. Addy voted in favour of the donation. He made a mistake. Happens. Then, a few honest and diligent congressmen, and Addy, started PMing all their colleagues to vote the thing down. Unfortunate situation. Hardly the stuff of heroism, bravery and self sacrifice though. If we want to, we could avoid the silly paralysis about past massive theft: move on, leave things as they are. But learn the appropriate lesson: there are natural consequences to enormous craven dishonesty.
Yes, Rolo was the one to cast the deciding vote, but that shouldn't earn him anything special. It shouldn't matter if he was the first person to vote No or the last one, every single congressman who voted no played an equal part in stopping that bad proposal.
Now what really disgusts me is the attempted blackmail using Rolo's vote. http://ecanada.cc/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=15236
little story about John Cartwright, appearing for insurance company in an arson case.
Homeowner: "and here are the pictures of the house, the bedrooms, the contents, the kitchen and the living room, before the fire"
Judge: "Mr. Cartwright, does the insurance company have any pictures"
Cartwright: "sorry judge, we didn't know the fire was going to happen"
Temujinbc I think alot of people help out in this country in there own ways.
Pretty ignorant to not consider all the others of this country who quietly do there good deeds and don't beat a drum looking to be noticed and praised.
Why?
Because they are not banned for past actions looking for free redemption through ignorant suppoters.
of course the jerk is active. He stole his way to the top through greed and theft. Now we just accept him back because he can push a No button where he was voted in to do his job in game.
He's poison and he always will be. I will never move on from that thinking, he will always be dead to me because of it. If everyone had just decided to think the same way and shun him back then too, we would have all moved on and not had the several bad things he did happen afterwards because he would have had no way to do anything to us. It's that simple.
So yes, lets all move on and declare him dead and ignore him forever TemujinBC. After all, why should I give in to your thoughts on this now when you and/or others didn't give in to the masses at the time either?
