As leader of 'Justice Responsibility and You' I have been reading up on the plans of the presidential candidates and I have decided to support Greatmoff. I will now explain Greatmoff's policies and why we support them.


The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA)

Greatmoff will divide the MoHA into two separate branches. None of the services the MoHA provide will be lost. Instead of the department being run by one person there will be two leaders. The MoHA will become the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Education (each having a minister in charge of them).

The Ministry of Health will be responsible for all government schemes; such as the NHS food scheme, the call to arms and government grants. In line with Mr Woldy’s proposals for giving power and responsibility back to congress, the Minister of Health will be tasked with ensuring the handover of power to congress members on the 26th.

The Ministry of Education will be tasked with running a new mentoring scheme in the UK. It will also be responsible for publishing articles telling players how the game runs. The department will also be supporting/working with Kravenn's new players guide. The Ministry of Education will not be handing over power to congress.



Accountability and Communication

This quote is taken from Greatmoff's domestic affairs manifesto:

'I aim to have presidential announcements (written by the CP or the vCP) every day both on the forums and in articles in game. Whilst I agree that the forums add another dimension to the game and help us communicate, I don’t think that is an excuse to neglect players who choose not to use the forums. What it comes down to is everybody counts and a President is largely elected by players who do not use IRC or the forums, it is important to answer to these voters as well.'


Prime Minister's Question Time

Again this quote is taken from Greatmoff's domestic affairs manifesto:

I also aim to bring back the Prime Minister Question time once a week where either the CP or the vCP will be available to answer questions from the population. It will take place on IRC however anyone with a question will be allowed to submit it. In order to allow many more people to take part in it questions will be allowed to be submitted in advance, and an article will be published with a summary of the questions and answers afterwards.


Politics is only boring if you look at/talk about things you are not interested in.


The Ministry of Legislative Affairs

The Minister of Legislative Affairs will publish an article in game at least once a week about what has happened in the past week in parliament. This will include a summary of what was discussed, and the results of any voting. The MoLA be responsible for increasing scrutiny on congress as it takes on more responsibilities. This is tied into accountability.


Foreign Policy

Canada

Long standing peace is what Greatmoff will aim for but he says the UK will not be: 'unprepared for war'. He goes on to say: 'I wish to take a tough but fair approach to the matter. This means I will try and reach peace, but there are certain conditions I will require from it as I will not sell this country out.

1) Canada will not retain any British soil. I will not permit them to remain in our lands, and they will not have access to our oil.
2) We will not pass the buck and allow them to pass through our lands attacking Hungary in France or to attack Belgium.

Whilst I favour peace, I do not wish to do so at the long term cost to the UK, this would not be in our interests. Our interests [as the UK] are best served by Hungary having a long and successful stay in France whilst our armies grow and our influence increases.'


Ireland

Secure Dublin and Louth, and by doing so getting the UK a 'fruit region'. A fruit region is particularly important, here is a little maths on it...

Each new player gets given 3 grain and a Q1 food company when they start. An extra fruit region means that every single player in the UK can produce an extra 20 Q1 food a day at no extra effort on their part. 20 Q1 food is 40 wellness per day. If we take an estimate of 500 new citizens who benefit from this, then this is 500 x 40 which is 20,000 wellness more per day. Over a 31 day month that is 620,000 wellness in the hands of our youngest and most needy players.

Greatmoff says: 'I intend to maintain good communication with Ireland over the coming month in order to maintain our thawing relationship and ensure that our Fruit region remains safe. Furthermore I think these statistics emphasize the need for improving relations and looking for peace with Canada.'


Military Policy

the National Military fairly similar to how it is. I will strive to make sure that supplies are done on time, something that has been a big issue since I left as MoD. I will also seek to encourage the Military with more competitions, making it more active and fun.more efficient and to create a better system of communication. To highlight the problems I took a screenshot of this on the 27th of may (day 1650):

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs

MoFA will sort out ambassadors with an emphasis of getting experienced and intelligent players to interact with our neighbouring countries Canada and Ireland.

Seek out a meeting between the CP, vCP and MoFA of Canada and the UK in order to enter into discussions regarding a peace deal. If necessary a respectable third party will be sought to mediate peace talks.


The Ministry of Defence

The Ministry of Defence will take over the existing supply system introduced recently by Iain Keers and Rawdon. The Military weekly supplies will remain. Strikes will be held according to need rather than for the sake of them. General strikes will continue in #MoD during important battles. The MoD will also have authority to initiate UK only strikes in our private Military channel #euk.military when we need a little push to hold down RWs in Dublin and Louth.
