[JS]My Plans

Day 1,346, 10:40 Published in Malaysia USA by Dr. Straatman

Well, it's not for sure that I will be running right now since I need to find a PP to support me, but I'll continue on as normal regardless 😛

Introduction
eMalaysia has a long history of weak governments and I don't mean that in the sense that the governments were bad. Just that the governments didn't have a lot to work with and so things have always been in a cycle of deterioration and re-establishment. A prime example is the military. The eMalaysian military has been restarted approximately 6 times that I can remember, twice by me. But every time there were issues, usually a lack of interest, which made the military fade back into obscurity. Another good example is our Foreign Affairs, there were periods, sometimes months long, where eMalaysia had essentially no ties with the outside world. It wasn't neutrality, it was isolation. These two things are major aspects of the game that we need to have, and they need to be strong. Finally, the economy can always be improved so these are the three things that I would like to focus on if I am elected CP in August. I'll split these three up into three other articles so that everyone doesn't need to read a wall of text.

My Availability and Dedication
As I said in my last article, I have over two years of experience in eRep. Two years and 3 months to the day in case anyone is wondering 😉 My first 4-5 months were spent in the eUS, my home country, before a friend convinced me to move to eMalaysia. I spent the next year and a few months in eMalaysia, running for congress occasionally, helping in the military and basically just being an active member of the community. Almost a year ago, the Serbian PTO took a real hold on eMalaysia. We had managed to prolong the PTO for months, but for the first time the PTO actually had a shot at winning the CP election. The country decided to select one CP candidate to run against the PTO candidate. The candidate selected was me. It has been argued in the past that I made others step down so that I could run, but that is not true. I offered the same thing I offer now, a primary to see what the people actually want. Then as now, I was willing to respect the outcome of that primary no matter what the result.

It has been mentioned by JUJAI that I am not a member of the party's council and some other things you can read here. I'm fine with that decision, but I do have some questions about his reasoning that I hope he answers. I do find it odd that a founding member of the party can't be considered a candidate for the CP position though, so I still urge him to hold a party wide primary to truly see who the party wants to support.

My availability over this term is some of the best I think I've ever been able to give. I do have a part time job, but outside of that I am completely available to eRepublik. University starts back up at the end of the month, but by then my role should be more of an overseer and require less activity. I am and always have been dedicated to eMalaysia. I know that some players have said that by being against the war with eSingapore I didn't have the best interest of eMY at heart, but that is not true. I DO support war, when it benefits the country. We did receive about a weeks worth of NE bonus and fighting, but personally I don't think that was worth a month without congress and the other reparations we had to make. I was against the war because I didn't believe we were ready for it. My thoughts were always of eMalaysia's well being.

As always, you can ask me questions at the forums, with in-game PM or on my IRC channel #OfficeOfJS on Rizon.

Please Please Please take advantage of this. No matter what the question is, even if it isn't about the elections I'm happy to answer it. I want to be a good president for this nation and I can't do that if I don't know what the people think of me and my ideas. Also, I want to meet everyone I possibly can so message me and friend me 😎

Regards,
