Hi. I’m James, althougth many of you will know me as Jimbojoy. I am running to be your Prime-Minister (CP) for April, and I’d be grateful if you would consider giving me your vote. I am releasing a series of articles that form my manifesto for the country and the unique players that make up our nation. Yeah, that’s right, I’m a guy who thrives on interaction with a single person just as much as group play, and I’ve tailored my ideas this month towards this. We are only the sum total of our individual needs and talents. This first missive deals (as the title points out) with my plans for the domestic health of the country, with carefully evaluated reform in small steps. You may have read these words in my announcement to parties, I am leaving in the most important bits, and they’ve been chosen because they really freaking matter. I have summed these up at the end, so if you’re lacking in time, or want the juicy details, you can scroll down to them straight away.



I consider the domestic affairs of the eUK to be vitally important, and a matter close to my heart. Nothing in this game beats the shared sense of community that we create for ourselves. Be it through chatting with my Legion Regiment comrades in a group PM, posting on the forums, hanging out on IRC or chilling out with Woldy on our Bob Save the King! podcast, I always love interacting with other players, and consider it a duty for those of us who have already participated in these activities to educate, enable and inspire a wave of citizens to do just that. It’s my firm belief that we need to grab our new players and throw them into a world full of possibilities, by continuing to show the diversity within the eUK that guarantees something for everyone. One aspect of education that has fallen by the wayside of late is mentoring. Since the splitting of MoHA into MoH and MoE this has never been properly replaced by the government. I think it’d be great to offer effort into getting this going again, I know there are plenty of older players out there that would be just fine in helping out by mentoring one or two new players each at least, and being able to facilitate this as CP can certainly be counted a reason for why I am asking for your support. This is why I feel a minister with this brief is needed, so will being out my own old role, that of MoR(etention/Recruitment.) They’ll help us to harness and organise these bods into a hardcore of targeted and dedicated taskforce to help out wherever they may be required.



Therefore it’s my proud intention to manage MoHA in a way which provides all three of what I define as the most important (and therefore needed sections.) Firstly I will be appointing a Minister of Home Affairs. This chap (or chapette) will lead my domestics and champion my policies - they are the bossman of the whole shabang.. I will dictate what I want done, and give guidance for them to implement. They will oversee the three strands of the reunited MoHA - MoE(ducation), MoR(etention) and MOST importantly MoH(ealth) - and I shall deal with each in turn here. His job will be to teach newer, less experienced players how to act and perform so that eventually they can become ministers themselves to prevent the same faces rotating around constantly. It’s great that we have old regulars who can be relied on to do a job, but shouldn’t our aim be to look forward and start to invest more heavily in preparing players to run ministries? I certainly think so.



The MoH is to be placed foremost front and center. The NHS is a highly successful scheme which in most months has been run without question of personal party recruitment, and to a high standard. We have players like Zaphod, ACroc, Jimbobfrey and Cyg to thank for their help. We need to continue and expand this amazing service. I promise to deliver this to you. I will campaign, from Day 1 all the way through to Day 30 to keep donating to this service. If we need to go to our allies and ask, then so be it. The future of our nation should not depend on our lack of resolve to get our hands dirty,, but on our conviction to provide and nurture new players. I would like to increase both supplies and suppliers, but this will require our friends to come together, irrespective of party lines to work in what is arguably the most important ministry in domestics.

To further retain players, I’d demand that we use the best tools available to us as other Prime-Ministers have. This of course includes the fantastic new player guide written by Kravenn. I want to see an article linking to it up every two days in “First Steps in eRepublik” and mentions of it in government articles. This is to blitz new players into seeing it everywhere, and making sure that every new player looking through the media can get to it quickly and easily. It’s something exceptionally simple, but with a Jimbo government, there will be a priority to check for it on every login. I want to see reprints in first steps of guides from the eUK library and a full list of educational sources. These are to be controlled by the MoE.

Finally I wish to reboot an ancient system from the MoHA, created in days long ago. This is to offer “missions”, complete with rewards, to eUKers. These will take the form of a MoE article setting the tasks, and then it is up to citizens to complete them. For example, one mission might be to gain a BH on the 14th April - with a reward of X food, cash or tanks. This will be completely administered by my government and directly controlled by me, so I will be open to mission suggestions (rewards for the best one of those!) and hope that this will stimulate activity, interaction and help direct damage (one mission could be to move and fight in a TWO RW) - all in an easy way. A simple screenshot will probably be all that is needed to prove the mission is complete, and the public can reap the rewards of following our new IG missions. 1. MoHA is run by a Senior Player to help train up other domestic ministers.

2. He oversees MoH (to be expanded in scope and size as much as is possible and fully supported as a domestic priority.), MoE and MoR (Mentoring to return!) The NHS is the focus of this government. No compromise.

3. Rotation of articles in “first steps in eRepublik” section to help new players find the right guides and to channel to the NHS.

4. Extra “Missions” to be created to give eUKers targets and rewards for meeting them.
